Six ancient beasts

Six great beasts: Dongmu Qinglong, Huo Nan Suzaku, West Jin White Tiger, Beishui Xuanwu, Xiatu Gouchen and Huang Shang Tengshe.

Represent six directions respectively, and guard the direction they represent. In particular, some people think that Gou Chen is a unicorn, but more people think that Gou Chen should be a one-horned Tianma (also known as Shen Jun). Qinglong is based on five behaviors, and the east is cyan, so Qinglong is the God of the East, also known as the "black dragon". Dragon is the totem of the Chinese nation. Since the Yellow Emperor entrusted it to Tianhe and weiser, it has become a symbol of the Chinese nation and even the whole of China. According to oriental legend, Qinglong looks like a long snake, the head of a unicorn, the tail of a carp, a long beard, a antler and five claws.

Suzaku is one of the four spirits in ancient China mythology, which originated from the worship of stars in ancient times. It is a southern god who represents Emperor Yan and the seven nights in the south. It separates from the gossip and lights the fire of the five elements, symbolizing Lao Yang in the four elephants, summer in the four seasons and the southern heaven. The southern god beast Suzaku is in the shape of a bird. Bird totems such as Nanhuo and Suzaku often belong to the sun worship in ancient mythology.
