Confucius' Outlook on Destiny and Mission

Chapters 5 to 9 of Zi Han discuss Confucius' outlook on fate and sense of mission.

Chapter 5 Yuzi was afraid of Kuang and said, "If there is no king of literature, what is literature?" ? The day will be lost, and the deceased will not be with Sven; God has not lost his grace, how can people give! "Confucius lived in such an era, and he deeply realized the reality of bad morality, no way in the world, bad manners and bad music. When life is threatened, there is also the mission of "gentleness is here", as Wang Chong said, "Wang Zhiwen is in Confucius, and Confucius' text is in the book". Why did Confucius charter civil and military affairs? By the time Confucius arrived, the ritual and music civilization created by Duke Zhou had a tendency to collapse, and Confucius wanted to reorganize the ritual and music. Although the building will collapse, Confucius will inherit the ritual and music civilization, and then Dong Zhongshu can inherit and develop it. Confucius feared destiny. Why did Confucius say that when Yan Hui died, "Heaven sent great responsibility"? Yan Hui is too important among Confucius' disciples. Confucius regarded Yan Hui as his successor, and as a result, the successor died young, so he lamented that "heaven sent great responsibility". In this context, Confucius knew the destiny, and hoped that everyone would respect it. In fact, this sense of mission runs through Confucius' life. Confucius was "determined to learn" very early. His mission is the beginning and end of his life. Mission is a path and a method. Confucius' sense of mission is Do not forget your initiative mind, which has inspired his life and is also the road he pursues all his life.

Chapter 6 "Da Zai asked Yu Zigong:' What about a master and a saint? How many abilities are there?' Zi Gong said,' A general who consolidates heaven and earth is a sage with many abilities.' Hearing this, Zi said, Does Taizai know me? I am cheap, so I can despise. How many gentlemen are there? "Not much." "The environment and times made Confucius. He said: "I am too cheap and too few, so I can do a lot of things." "He wants to understand people's hearts, society and the times. A person's growth cannot be separated from the cognition of this era. It is not necessarily a good thing for a person to be smooth sailing. A person's life as a teenager is hard, which makes him grateful. If you learn from the kindness of your parents and their hardships, you will be tough and have a deep understanding of the world and people's hearts. A person's growth is indispensable to experience. Confucius said that "less is cheaper, so many things can be light", which is equivalent to learning from things, and learning from things is grinding on things. What is honed in things is standard, knowledge, conscience, cognition of the world and promotion of the realm.

Things should start with concrete things, learn from each other and reflect on the best state of things. If we deal with the relationship between two contradictory parties, we should put ourselves in the other's shoes and establish ourselves, loyalty, tolerance and kindness. Do "knock on both ends and use it" and "ask questions and think near", think about things and learn from them.
