Brief introduction of Li Yinhe's life

Li Yinhe, type A blood, 1952, was born in Beijing in February. Researcher and doctoral supervisor, Institute of Sociology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Ph.D. in Sociology, University of Pittsburgh, USA, and postdoctoral fellow in Sociology, Peking University. His major works (translations) include: Homosexual Subculture, Fertility and Rural Culture in China, Sex and Marriage of China People, Marriage and Family in China and Their Changes, Sex and Love of Women in China, Their World-A Perspective of Gay Groups in China, etc.

Professor Li Yinhe is the first research-oriented female sociologist in China and one of the most famous sociologists in China today. She was named one of the fifty most influential people in China by Asia Weekly 1999.

Li Yinhe's husband, Wang Xiaobo, is a famous writer, who has written the Golden Age and the East Palace and the West Palace. On April 1997, Wang Xiaobo died of a heart attack in Beijing.
