According to the list of gods, Jiang Ziya's wife is a very annoying wife, cheating on her husband. After Jiang Ziya became a god, she was branded as a "poor god" who betrayed her wife, making her "return at every break", so people "cut off" her on the fifth day of the first month and asked her to go back at once.

There is a custom called "driving out the five poor" (poor intelligence, poor study, poor literature, poor life and poor communication). Get up at dawn, set off firecrackers and clean up, expressing the good wishes of the working people in China to ward off evil spirits, eliminate disasters and welcome happiness.

In some areas of Henan, people don't work on this day, otherwise something will happen this year.
