How do novices divine with the Book of Changes

When we use the Book of Changes for divination, we must first prepare several props. These props are: three copper coins or three coins, with the same size, shape and quality. Then set the front and back. If it is a modern coin, we usually take the national emblem as the front and the words and patterns of the coin as the back. If it is an ancient coin, the side with words is the reverse side, and the reverse side is the front side. At the beginning of divination, write down the year, month and day of divination. If it is convenient, write down the province, county, city, gender and birth time of divination for future use.

Wash your hands and burn incense when you shake your divination. First, wash your hands. Only in this way can we be sincere, and the effect of divination will not be affected by the filthy qi. Then choose a quiet place to avoid being disturbed. Put three coins in your hand after the preliminary preparation is completed. Don't have distractions in your heart. Focus on what you want to measure. Don't be interrupted by the outside world. What you think must be firm, don't doubt, don't hesitate. About a minute, the palms are relatively empty, shake them a few times at will, then separate your hands, so that the three coins fall evenly on a flat, clean and solid object, and let the coins roll to a stop point to avoid being affected by human factors. After that, there may be four situations in coins: three tails, recorded as old yin; Three fronts, recorded as Lao Yang; One yin and two yang are recorded as shaoyin; One yang, two yin and less yang.

Then, in the same way, shake it five times in a row, and record it six times in total. Six o'clock is hexagrams, two, three, four, five and six hexagrams. The top record is the sixth hexagram, also called "Shang hexagram". From the second time, in order to keep your mind focused and not distracted, you can always keep the idea of the first divination in your mind. You can just pick up the coin and shake the divination, saving some unnecessary etiquette.

Finally, the main divination of this event can be obtained by arranging the results obtained from six times from bottom to top. The hexagrams obtained for the sixth time are like Shang Yao, and the observation result obtained for the first time is Chu Yao. The top is at the top and the first one is at the bottom. Remember that this order must not be wrong. Then according to these records, look up the corresponding hexagrams in the Book of Changes, and you can measure the results you want to know. It is worth noting that if there are contradictions in the hexagrams, we should solve our own hexagrams by solving contradictions in the Book of Changes.
