One step for life?

Think of a Buddhist saying: "mustard seeds are satisfied." Mount Sumi is Mount Sumi, which means the largest in the world, and mustard seed means the smallest in the world. Sumeru and mustard seed, step by step, we vaguely understand the philosophy of an atmosphere.

The two are a common but thought-provoking combination. It is often said that something and a certain period of time are the key steps. If it goes well, the future will be a thoroughfare. If you don't walk well, it is "one small step will make you regret it for a lifetime". This shows that this "one step" is of great significance!

"Step" is first of all distance, which means walking. Step, lift your feet twice as a step. Xunzi's exhortation to learn: "If you don't accumulate steps, you will be thousands of miles away." It means that you can't reach a thousand miles without accumulating step by step. The "step" here is a unit of length, which is different from generation to generation. The Zhou Dynasty seemed to take eight feet as a step, and the Qin Dynasty took six feet as a step. As far as distance is concerned, life is coming step by step.

"Step" seems to have the meaning of fate, because it is always inextricably linked with human emotions. An anonymous writer in the Han Dynasty wrote "Step out of the East Gate of the City": "Step out of the East Gate of the City and look at Jiangnan Road in the distance. " Before the snow melted, a person stood at the head of Dongmen City, looking from a distance, wandering thousands of miles away, but I don't know where the old friend who stepped out of the snow the day before yesterday is now.

Cao Zijian's Seven-step Poem is passed down to later generations with seven sad and helpless steps.

"Four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty" Lu wrote in "Sao Style in Prison": "I hear this every step of the way, and I miss my son."

Another example is "one step is difficult to move, the soul is scattered, and I don't care", "I miss my hometown and remember my brother who is sleeping in the clouds", "I only love the lotus flower step by step, but I don't know if it is difficult to walk in the country", "Smile for the time being, and I will leave you tomorrow, worrying step by step" ... national disaster, affection, lovesickness, depression and anxiety. The gathering and dispersion of affection, friendship and love have been interpreted step by step in this life since ancient times.

"Step" also involves the realm of life.

People are born to be human, walking between heaven and earth, wandering in time and space, and death becomes everyone's ultimate destination. As a result, since ancient times, there have been fears, calm people, meaningless people, emperors and princes, and traffickers, all of which ultimately belong to the loess!

A hundred years of life is full of unknowns, especially after death. But people are more interested in the unknowable! I always want to find out, so divination, astrology, success and health preservation are developing vigorously. More and more key steps in life need us to walk well, and more and more treasures of life need us to "cultivate". I don't know that the joy of life lies in the unknowability of the future. If a person lives a life that he has predicted all his life, he will not be very happy!

Life should be like what Mao Zedong recited: "No matter how big the storm is, it is better to take a walk." -This is a heroic spirit that actively uses the world and a detachment that has experienced storms.
