Cai Yuan's Personal Achievements

He is the author of Zhouyi Xun Jie, Yi Yan Xiangyi, Guayi Ci Zhi, Gu Xie Yi Yun, Dachuan Yi Shuo, Xiang Yu Shu Lun, Da Ji Tong Zhi and Si Wen of Private Schools.

Cai Shen, his younger brother, commented on Yi, saying: "Yi has the saying of Tai Chi, knowing it as the end, and just saying it as the righteousness, which are the foundation of natural justice, the essence of later learning, and the unprecedented achievements of previous sages." (preface to the book of changes) because he studied under Zhu, his theory originated from Zhu's theory and was an exposition of Zhu's studies. But his number theory is based on his father's Xishan family study. This is quite different from Zhu's theory of "mutual body cannot be abolished" Yu Shi said, we can change it and think it is flat. With regard to the ten-winged image number of divination, this paper briefly explains the terms, categories and divination in Yi Zhuan.
