The project hub consists of upper reservoir, lower reservoir, water conveyance system, underground powerhouse and switch station. Both the upper reservoir and the lower reservoir are newly built. The Upper Reservoir is located in Yangjiayugou, the top of Wan Hu, which is formed by half filling and half digging. The lower reservoir is located at the exit of Yangjiayu at the southern foot of Beishan Mountain, which is formed by surrounding excavation. The normal water level of the upper reservoir 1 155.0m, the normal water level of the lower reservoir/745.0m and the installed capacity of the power station 1400 are preliminarily determined. The power station undertakes the tasks of peak shaving, valley filling, frequency modulation, phase modulation, emergency standby and energy storage in Shaanxi power grid.
