The Historical Evolution of Konglong Town

It belonged to Chu in the Spring and Autumn Period, and to Jiujiang County and Huangmei County in the Sui Dynasty.

At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, a family named Kong settled down in this pioneering land and built a small ridge dam named Kong Jialong.

Konglong Town was built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China.

1949 set the ridge area.

1958 after the reconstruction of konglong town, the town, district and people's commune are parallel.

1987, towns, districts and cooperatives merged to form Dongling District; In September of the same year, the township was built from the district, and Konglong Town and Zhang He Township were established respectively.

In 200 1 year, Zhanghe Township was merged into Konglong Town, and the town name was still Konglong Town, belonging to Huangmei County.
