Why is Lvliang called Lishi?

After the founding of New China, Lishi County was subordinate to Xingxian District. 1952 after xingxian county was abolished, it was placed in Yuci district (later changed to Jinzhong district). 1954 Lishi and Fangshan merged and the county name was changed to Lishan county. 1958 Lishan and Zhongyang merged and the county name was changed to Licheng. 197 1 After the establishment of Luliang area in May, the former Lishi County moved to Liulin, and a new suburb of Lishi was established.

Lishi district City, Lvliang is located in the west of Shanxi Province, on the west side of the middle section of Lvliang Mountains. Its geographical coordinates are 37 21'-37 42' north latitude and110 55'-135' east longitude, and it is clockwise from north to fangshan county. Lishi district is located in the geographical center of Lvliang, the seat of Lvliang Municipal Government, the political, cultural and transportation center of Lvliang, the transportation hub of Qin Jin, and an important hub from North China to the west.
