Is there anything to say about the burning degree of Buddha incense?

The burning degree of incense can really express different meanings (there are 20 kinds). Let me explain it to you in detail (taking the traditional three sticks of incense as an example):

1. The fragrant head on the right is higher than the fragrant head on the left and the fragrant head in the middle, and the fragrant head on the left and the fragrant head in the middle are even numbers. This is called "heaven and earth".

2. The fragrant head on the left is higher than the fragrant head on the right and middle, and the right hand is flush with the middle. This is called "disaster relief incense"

The left and right sides are lower than the middle, but they are flat. This is called Little Innocent Fragrance (meaning Buddha arrival).

4. The fragrance in the middle is the highest, followed by the right hand and the lowest in the left hand, which is called adding vegetable fragrance.

5. From left to right, it rises step by step, which is called: merits and virtues (meaning: God bless).

6. The left hand is low, and the middle hand is high (and higher than the left hand 1.5), which is called "promoting Danxiang" (meaning: good health makes fools gain wisdom).

7. The left hand is lower than the middle finger and the right hand (one head lower), but it is too low, which is called urging for offering incense (meaning: ancestors must prepare offerings after three days).

8. The left hand is even with the middle and higher than the right hand (more than a quarter), which is called: Zeng Fuxiang (good luck within ten days)

9. From left to right, it decreases step by step, which is called: Blissful Fragrance (something festive is coming).

10, the left hand is the highest, the right hand is lower than the left hand (less than one third of the left hand), and the middle is the lowest, which is called evil fragrance (commonly known as evil fragrance).
