Three religions refer to three traditional religions, namely Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.

The so-called nine streams actually refer to the "upper, middle and lower" third class. The third of the three religions naturally leads to nine.

Shangjiuliu: emperors, sages, hermits, children immortals, literati, warriors, agriculture, industry and commerce.

Middle nine stream: doctor, Xiang Ming, Dan Qing, scholar, monk, Tao, Ni.

Confucianists

Everyone should be familiar with Confucianism, with Confucius and Mencius as the representative. The two men were respected as saints and sub-saints by later generations, and their status can be said to be extremely respected.

Confucianism, on the other hand, is regarded as the way to govern the country because of its emphasis on moral cultivation, benevolence, courtesy and wisdom, ethics and benevolence, and even has the saying that "the Analects of Confucius governs the world". In ancient China, the position of Confucianism was always high and unshakable.

Actually, Taoism and Taoism are not exactly the same. Taoism has always believed that Taoism is a class group. The representatives of Taoism are Laozi and Zhuangzi, who advocate the view of inaction, letting nature take its course and the unity of man and nature, which is one of the most important philosophical thoughts of China.

Buddhism, which was later introduced into China, was also deeply influenced by this thought. Later generations took Taoism as the core and combined with local myths, an alchemist created "Taoism". The influence of Taoism on China people is not under Confucianism at all.
