Buddha said that color is empty, and empty is color. Why should Buddha abstain from color?

Because we ordinary people don't realize that "color is emptiness, and emptiness is color", we should quit, not for the sake of Buddhism, but for those who have lost their way, so that we can return to pure Buddhism, have great wisdom and get happiness from suffering.

There is no abstinence from color in nature, but people think there is and persevere, so there is a saying of abstinence from color.
