Strengthening the city by industry is one of the three development strategies of Xingcheng. Over the years, it has formed four pillar industries, mainly wine making, knitting service, plastic products and metal smelting. At present, there are 6 enterprises above designated size in Area A, namely China Resources Snowflake Beer (Huludao) Co., Ltd., Shougang Donghua Machinery Factory, Liaoning Haizhou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Liaoning Heiske Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Fuyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. and Xingcheng Hengan Economic and Trade Co., Ltd., with fixed assets investment of 95 million yuan, initially forming an industrial system with machinery manufacturing, pharmaceutical chemicals and brewing as its pillar industries.
