What is the origin of Ganyu County?

The name of Ganyu County comes from mountains and rivers.

Qin is now located in Ganyu county, and the historians have no objection. Ganyu County is included in Geography of Hanshu, but in Historical Evolution of Cities and Counties in China compiled by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, a "golden restoration" is added after Ganyu County, which shows that Ganyu County is a "restoration" in the golden age, but it avoids the issue of "Qin placement" or "Han placement". According to 1979, the words "Ganyu distance" and "Ganyu virtue" were engraved on two tiles unearthed from the tomb of Qin torturers in Zhaobeihu village on the west side of Qin Shihuang's mausoleum, thus confirming Ganyu County as Qin's hometown. However, due to the relocation of Ganyu County for many times, it moved south to Yuzhou. In the eighth year of Tang Wude (625), Ganyu County in the province entered the East China Sea, and the province and the city entered Huairen. Now Ganyu County is called Huairen County in 552. Although Jin has been in use since it was renamed, the county name has been out of its native land for too long and lost its meaning. A total of 12 research articles on the origin of Ganyu county names were compiled in the 1997 edition of Ganyu County Records, which actually represented the views of scholars who compiled Ganyu County Records (including discussion papers) from Ming and Qing Dynasties to modern times. These articles painstakingly study the etymology of place names, but ignore the naming motivation of place names and the origin of characteristic names, thus drawing many wrong explanations.

The word place name comes from Greek and refers to a specific geographical entity. Its referential meaning includes indicative meaning and indicative meaning. Sound, form, meaning, position and category are the five basic elements of place names. Place names are social, epochal, national and regional. Place names are the product of the times, which are relatively stable and can retain more historical information. They are called "living fossils" of human geography. Toponymy is a subject that studies the origin, formation, significance, evolution, distribution law, reading and writing norms and functions of place names, as well as the relationship between place names and natural and social environment. Analyzing the words used in place names and studying their etymology, pronunciation, meaning, font and its evolution are helpful to correct names, orthography and orthography.

Geographical names research divides geographical names into resident names and characteristic names, and characteristic names represent the natural characteristics of the ground, including hydrological characteristics, geomorphological characteristics and natural vegetation characteristics. Toponymy studies the linguistic changes of place names (etymology) and the motivation of naming (historical geography). Place names are divided into generic names and proper names. Generic names indicate the categories of place names, such as rivers, mountains and towns, while proper names limit or modify the meaning of place names. Toponymy focuses on the proper names of place names.

China is a combination of Zhongtiao Mountain and Huashan Mountain. There are Dingcun people and Lantian people living here. Historical records have always called it China.

After Qin unified China, people in the Central Plains naturally called themselves Qin people, so Tianshui, the birthplace of Qin State, was called Qin for short, and it was once the hometown of Fuxi, the "ancestor of mankind" in China. The 800-mile Wei River is called "Qinchuan", the mountain in the south of Yongzhou is called "Qinling", and Ji Xiang is divided into the three kingdoms of Yong, Sai and Zhai, which are called "Sanqin". Qinhuangdao, Xufu Village and Zheng Guoqu are place names named after the names of Qin Dynasty. The Han Dynasty destroyed the Qin Dynasty, and Liu Bang sealed the king of Hanzhong, so there was Hanshui. In order to show filial piety to his father, Liu Bang built "Xinfeng County" in Yili for his father to live in, and brought all the villagers in his hometown Fengxian to chat with his father, which was also tax-free. Today, Xingfeng has become the railway hub of Xi 'an. After Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the "Qin people" in the Central Plains were renamed as "Han people", so today's "Han people" came into being, and Chinese and Chinese characters were further developed. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, although China was called Amin country and A Qing country by foreign countries, the Han nationality had been stereotyped.

China place names are widely used in physical geography and orientation, such as Henan, Hebei, Hunan, Hubei, Shandong, Shanxi, Qinghai and Heilongjiang. The source of rivers is called the source, and Shan Zhinan and the north of water belong to Yang, while the north of mountains and the south of water belong to Yin, such as Jiyuan, Liaoyuan, Shuyang, Huaiyang, Hanyang, Xiangyang, Jiangyin, Huaiyin and Mengyin. In the lowlands with water network in the east of China, Gaofu is called "Qiu", and Shouqiu, Lingqiu, Dunqiu, Wanqiu, Shangqiu, Zhangqiu, Fengqiu and Anqiu became the ideal places for early tribes to form or build their capitals. Tianjin, Jin Meng, Yanjin, Hejin, Jiangjin, Ningjin, Xiajin and Yanjin are ferries. Tancheng, Pengcheng, Zhucheng, Yucheng, Xiangcheng, Zoucheng, Xuecheng, Xiayi and Yinxu are the capitals of ancient countries and the earliest cities in China. Dams, fairs, markets, shops, villages, villages and castles have become common place names for people of all ethnic groups in China.

The place names in Haizhou area reflect the good natural ecology in the early days of this area. The bedrock islands are all marked with the word "Mountain", such as Qiantai Mountain, Qinshan Mountain, Kaishan Mountain, Yangshan Mountain, Pingshan Mountain, Danian Mountain, Che Niu Shan Mountain, Yingyou Mountain and Dongjiao Mountain. There seems to be no need to change the name after landing. There are many animals named after the top of the mountain, such as white tiger, green dragon, lion, ox head, sheep stone, ox, pheasant, quail, white dove, wasp, spider and so on. In Yuntai Mountain alone, there are as many as fifty or sixty places. Coupled with some place names named after plants, such as Rose River, Zhudao, Taohuaxi and Fengshu Bay, it will be more poetic, which not only reflects the good natural environment, but also reflects the profound cultural background.

Although the name of Ganyu County was renamed after being abandoned for more than 500 years, it is reasonable that the county name has lost its meaning. According to the catalogue of Jiangsu Province, Ganyu County is famous for its mountains and rivers. The former Huaiyin government official proudly said at a provincial conference: "Huaiyin is rich in water resources, with Hongze Lake, one of the five major lakes in China, and 13 counties and districts in the city. All counties (districts) have water except Xuyi. " Of the original 13 counties and cities in Linyi, Shandong Province, 8 county names are directly taken from mountains and rivers.

In 224 BC, Qin destroyed Chu, and yi county entered Qin, belonging to Xue County, followed by Donghai County. In 22 1 year BC, the Qin dynasty was destroyed, and six counties were split, and the rainy land entered Langya county. Han inherited the Qin system, and Hanshu recorded the historical fact that yi county and Ganyu belonged to two counties.

Now let's look at the source of the names of neighboring counties in Ganyu County.

The name of Qushan County originated from Qushan and was once renamed Qushan County. A bent piece of wood with a horse's neck on both sides of the yoke. "Guashan Mountain" is introduced in Ci Yuan: "There are two peaks on it, commonly known as Ma 'er Peak", and the peak height is 4 16.9 meters, which is still the best place to overlook Haizhou and look to the Rose River and Shuxin River in the west. Unfortunately, Sun, the magistrate of the Qing Dynasty, changed an animal-related mountain to an abstract literary name, because it was "like a brocade screen in front of the state", so that local people didn't know where the mountain was when they read history books, let alone outsiders, which was a warning to those in power. At the same time, it should be pointed out that the county seat is named after the mountain, not the mountain named after the county seat.

Look at it and wish it. May its country name originate from Zhuqi Mountain, and may it be a name or place name. Ju destroyed wish it, Chu destroyed Ju. Qin home wishes its county, which belongs to Donghai county. The word "Zhu Qi" refers to the bamboo slips unearthed from Shirao Tomb in Yinwan, East China Sea as "Kuang Qi", which is generally considered as misinformation. In fact, "Kuang Qi" should be pronounced as "Zhu" in ancient times, and the ancient books of "Three Zhujiazhuang" are also three dozen "Kuang Guzhuang". Because of word of mouth, in order to avoid misunderstanding, later generations changed the word "love" to "wish". I hope its capital city and its county town are today's ancient city village Banzhuang Town. Zhuqi Mountain is 225 meters above sea level. It originates from Zhuqi Mountain and flows eastward into the sea, which is now the Old Zhuji River. Why did Zhuqi River become a "bamboo-based" river? I'm afraid that people engaged in water conservancy, place names or chronicles have made mistakes. "Zhudu Village" was named after Zhuqi River was blocked in front of the village, so it should be Zhudu Village.

Huairen County originated from Huairen Mountain in China. Huairen Mountain is 75.3 meters above sea level, and there is Huairen Mountain Reservoir on the south side of the mountain. "Jiangnan Tongzhi" contains: "Huairen County was established after Wei Dynasty". Guangxu's Ganyu County Records states: "Huairen County was established in Wuding (549) of the Eastern Wei Dynasty, and Tang Yi and Guiyi counties were abolished in Hou Liang County (56 1) and merged into Huairen, and the county moved northward to establish Huairen City." As a result, the original county government became the "head city", and the new county government moved from Zhuqi River to Huairen Mountain.

During the Qin and Han Dynasties, the stone carvings on the boundary of Langya County in the East China Sea were the dividing line between yi county and Gui County. Compared with Hanshu, yi county, Zhuqi and Ganyu are Gui counties. It should be pointed out here that in Qin and Han Dynasties, the eye was connected with the cloud, while the words "Gui", "Rejection", "Drama" and "Ju" were homophonic, so Gui County was called "Ju County", and its capital was in Daju City and Xiao Ju area of Ganyu County, while Ganyu, bamboo ware and Haiqu (Rizhao) were the same.

After the "Cabinet" in Hanshu, it is noted that "the root of Ai Shui flows eastward into the sea, which is called the same". First of all, water is the general name of ancient rivers, and Jianghuai is the ancient four blasphemies. The "river water" becomes the "Yangtze River" because of its length, and the "river water" becomes the "Yellow River" because of its yellow color. Huaishui is also called Huaihe River, and only Jishui remains unchanged. All rivers in Li Daoyuan's Notes on Water Classics are called water. "Root wormwood water" can't be found in all ancient books, of course, because it is rare, but from the linguistic point of view, root wormwood water is "covered", so why is it labeled as root wormwood water? Just like we are learning Chinese Pinyin now, we may not be able to write the word "gan". In toponymy, Mandarin should not be used as the pronunciation of place names. For example, Liudu in Lu 'an and Liuhe read "Lu", and the lake in Hushu Pavilion read "Xu". Gan Yu's "Gan Ying Reading Beggars".

Where is Ganshui River? Nature is not the Ganjiang River (water), one of the five rivers in Poyang Lake, but the Qingkou River now. Cheng Ju was the capital of the State of Ju in the Spring and Autumn Period. After the establishment of Ganyu in the Qin Dynasty to the Western Han Dynasty, the county seat was officially rammed with earth, and now the city wall is still there. There is no exact record of Lushan Mountain in the county annals. But from the source of this river, it is found that this river has two sources. One is Zhuxi River (Zhushui), which originates from Caogou Beiling in Crossroad Town and Yangling Jianbeiling in Xianggou Township respectively, and flows west and south after meeting in Zhubian Village. Another source is Zhenwu River in Tangling Township, Linshu County. The three tributaries of Zhenwu River originated in Yushan, and after confluence at Zhenwu Temple, they entered Qingkou River (now Tashan Reservoir). "Linshu County Records" contains: "Yushan, located in the northeast of the county 15 km, is named after a white stone in the southwest of the top of the mountain." Tangling Township belonged to Ganyu in ancient times, and Yushan is not like an ancient place name. Is it Yushan's turn? It is not impossible that administrative divisions have changed frequently for more than two thousand years. Therefore, the name of Ganyu County should come from "Yushu Mountain in Ganshui". Of course, Yushu Mountain still needs textual research. Ganyu County was built in Tucheng, and its downstream is still Guixian County. In the fifth year of the Eastern Han Dynasty (80), Ganyu County was assigned to Donghai County, so the coastal part of Gui County was assigned to Ganyu County and Zhuqi County.

Ganshui is a sandy river. After the establishment of Tucheng County, the river silted up and an "ancient Hetao" (now a village) appeared in the river. Therefore, when the Jin Dynasty rebuilt Ganyu, it moved to Song Huairen County, which experienced six historical periods of Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China, and was called "Six Dynasties City". Hundreds of years later, the sediment in the river has deposited into the "ancient Hetao" villages in the east and west. Therefore, in 34 years of the Republic of China (1945), the anti-Japanese democratic government moved the county government to Qingkou. Chengyang Town in Juxian County was once the resident of Qingzhou in history, and Qingkou Town was also named after Haikou in Qingzhou.

Due to the difference between Haizhou dialect and Ganyu dialect, the salt administration organization stove set up in Luoyang town, Ganyu county in Jin Dynasty was mistakenly written as stove because of the pronunciation of Haizhou dialect, and was later referred to as stove. And "Lunan City" Haizhou dialect reading orchid became a city in the south, and then there was a river; "Masonry", Wang Zhe and Luoyang Guhekou Shipyards, was also written as "Wugong" because of its unclear original intention, and its meaning was completely lost; Shakou Village in songzhuang town is obviously a sand pile in the estuary, just like the old name of "Shatou" in Taiping Zhuang, but it is completely fabricated to explain that Shakou Village is a combination of sand and mouth. Therefore, the strict textual research on the place names in Ganyu County should be seriously considered by the place name management agencies.

The place names such as Kuangxian, Ganyu and Donghai come from mountains and rivers, and have also become the naming convention in this area. Guanyun County is named after Guanhe and Yuntai Mountain. Lianyungang is named after an island in front and Yuntai Mountain in the back. Li Anyun is named after Hong Kong; Guannan is located in the south of Guanhe River; Xiangshui County was directly taken from Xiangshuikou, so that later generations also wrote a couplet "Xiangshuikou Bridge makes water ring", which was collected in the whole country.
