What did your parents do that hurt you the most and left a lifelong shadow?

It is not so much a shadow from parents as a shadow from feudal families. This shadow makes me unwilling to accept any family in my life, so I don't want to get married and have children.

When I was a child, I grew up in Guangzhou with my parents, but I went back to my grandparents' home for the New Year every year. At first, I didn't understand why grandma always ignored me or scolded my mother. On the night when I came home, my mother kept telling me not to do anything wrong, not to contradict your grandmother, and not to hate your grandmother no matter what happened.

In doubt, I agreed. Since I was sensible, every time I went back to my hometown, the next day was when my mother went back to my parents' house. My grandmother never allowed my father to drive us, so my mother had to hold my sister's hand and cry all the way back to my parents' house. I will meet many people on the road, and my mother will stop and greet them with a smile.

I didn't know until I grew up that my grandmother didn't like my mother having two daughters. My mother and my sister will never let me go when they want to give me away, and my father, who is not very filial, has become a little timid under her years of arrogance and will not object to any of her decisions.

Perhaps the concept of son preference is still very common in rural areas, or it may not be a big deal. But the shadow that has left me since then is that they can't understand it now. Maybe no one will take such a thing seriously, but only I know it. At that time, I didn't know anything. It really hurts me to watch my mother cry.
