Xunzi said in "Persuasion": "A gentleman is knowledgeable and saves himself every day, so he knows what is clear and does not make mistakes." The "knowledge" and "knowledge" mentioned here are explained in the words of the ancients, that is, "those who know others are wise, and those who know themselves are wise."
