Quanzhen religion focuses on alchemy and cultivation of immortals, with the aim of achieving immortality. Orthodox Christians can drink alcohol, avoid meat, get married and have children. Quanzhen believes that cultivating truth is the only correct way for Taoist practitioners to practice. Only by getting rid of feelings and desires, knowing each other and calming down can we return to simplicity. All devout Quanzhen believers are not allowed to get married and have children.
