The origin of Xinglong town in Yanzhou

The origin of Xinglong Town in Yanzhou, originally named "Xinglong Town", is said to be related to Emperor Guangwu Liu Xiu. According to legend, at the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Xiu led an army to fight against Wang Mang's army and was defeated. He was chased to the "wild pig forest" on the Tuma River, and the fog locked the land. Liu Xiu got lost and called this place "fascinated by me". In a trance, Liu Xiu walked more than ten miles to the south, just at dawn and dawn in the east. Liu Xiu gradually woke up and saw a village in front of him. He was overjoyed and gave the place name "Xinglong Town".

After the establishment of the Eastern Han regime, the trade activities in this area were frequent and gradually concentrated, and it became more prosperous in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and gradually developed into a small-scale market town, which was later renamed as "Xinglong Town".
