Jiaozuo Shangliuzhuang refractory clay mining area

The mining area is located in the northeast of Jiaozuo City, about 18km, and is under the jurisdiction of urban and rural areas in Malin District of Anyang City.

The mining area is monoclinic structure, and the ore-bearing rock series of Upper Carboniferous benxi formation has a dip of about 140 and an inclination of 8 ~ 12.

The refractory clay in the mining area is divided into three layers, and the upper and lower ore bodies are scattered, which has little industrial value; China coal is the main industrial ore body in this area. The ore body is layered, with a length of 1200m, a width of 200~400m, a thickness of 0.75~ 14.39m, an average thickness of 3. 18m and a buried depth of 0~ 146m. The types of ore bodies are mainly soft clay and semi-soft clay, in which the average chemical composition and mass fraction of soft clay are Al2O3, 37.68%; Silicon dioxide, 43.54%; Fe2O3， 1.35%； The loss on ignition is 13.38%. Fire resistance limit1739℃; The plasticity coefficient is 9.6.

This mining area was submitted by the Sixth Team of Henan Nonferrous Geology (60 1 Team of Zhongnan Metallurgical Geological Exploration Company of the former Ministry of Metallurgy) in June 1966, and was identified as a medium-sized refractory clay mining area. Among them, soft and semi-soft clay accounts for 73%, and its main chemical components and average mass fraction are Al2O3, 21.39% ~ 44.83%; Silica, 29.12% ~ 56.02%; Fe2O3，0.38% ~ 3.38%； The loss on ignition is 6.98 ~15.88%; Fire resistance limit,1610℃ ~1770℃.
