In the process of urban construction, Banqiao Old Street was included in the demolition target because of serious flooding, damaged houses and general aging. Nanjing Second Banqiao was built at the south exit of Fuxing Street 1938, and was named after it was located at Meijiatang Second Banqiao in Xiaguan District.
