Zhucun is a village under the jurisdiction of Linshu County, Linyi City, Shandong Province, located in Caozhuang Town, Linshu County, Linyi City, Shandong Province.
Located at the junction of Sulu in the southeast of Shandong Province, it faces some mountains in the west and Linshu River in the east, echoing Daguanzhuang Water Control Project from a distance, and connecting with Shuhe Ancient Road and Ma Shu Scenic Area. Because of the criss-crossing rivers, converging streams and interweaving jade belts, the village was named "Zhu Village", and villagers in past dynasties officially changed their names to Zhu Village because they advocated Zhuzi Confucianism.
According to Wang's "Zhu Cun Genealogy", Zhu Cun "is surrounded by peaks on all sides, surrounded by rivers and lakes, with lush barriers and fenced horses, and people are auspicious." There are three rivers around the village, which has been a famous Jiangbei water town since ancient times. In addition to the passing rivers, there are natural water bodies such as Xixi Wetland in the village.
Zhucun landscape
At present, there are more than 30 Ming and Qing residential buildings in Zhucun, which are located in the north of the center of Zhucun and built by the Wangs of Zhucun. It is divided into five buildings: the East Building, the North Building, the South Building, the Front Building and the Back Building, all of which are now occupied by the Wangs of Zhu Village. There are also temple buildings such as Xuanwu Temple and Wang Ancestral Hall.
By the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were more than 300 buildings in Zhucun during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The East Building, the North Building, the South Building, the Front Building and the Back Building are the main buildings in the five buildings, with two floors, brick and wood structure, blue brick cornices, purlins and mud tiles, which are antique and unique. The East Building is the earliest single building in residential buildings. It was built in 1768, that is, six years after Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty. The roof was broken by the flood and was later restored as a bungalow.
In the sixties and seventies of last century, due to people's poor awareness of protection, some Ming and Qing dwellings were demolished by the masses and turned into modern houses. However, people can still get a glimpse of the architecture of a village and the regional culture behind it from more than 30 existing Ming and Qing residential buildings, which inevitably makes people sigh that there are miracles and unsolved mysteries here.
