How about Jing 'an Temple in Shanghai? Are there any interesting places?
Jing 'an Temple is located in the bustling Jing 'an business district in the center of Shanghai, with convenient transportation. There are many high-rise buildings around, which is in sharp contrast with the temples in Qing Dynasty. The architectural style of the temple is integrated with the Tibetan temple. The silver Buddha enshrined in Daxiong Hall weighs 15 tons, and the jade Buddha in Muny Hall is much larger than that in Shanghai Jade Buddha Temple. If you don't enter the temple gate, you can see the high pillar in front of the temple, "Buddhism stays in Brahma for a long time." The front of the pillar is engraved with the four characters "Buddhism stays for a long time", and the back is engraved with the Diamond Sutra written by Su Shi. At the top, there is a roaring statue of a golden lion around it, which is modeled after the pillar of Ashoka in Rokuyaon, northern India. After entering the temple gate, there is a square. In the center of the square, there is a big incense burner made of 15 tons of white copper. Most of the main halls of other temples are located on the central axis, while the main hall dedicated to bodhisattvas in Jing 'an Temple is connected with the room where monks do their homework. Around the square, there are two floors. Generally, first walk around the square to visit the first floor, and then go upstairs to visit the second floor. On the right side of the first floor, there is guanyin temple in the East Wing, with a 6.2-meter-high Millennium statue of Guanyin of Cinnamomum camphora. On the left side of the west wing is the Temple of Mouni, where the 3.87-meter-high Buddha of Sakyamuni is enshrined. This jade Buddha is much bigger than the "treasure of the town temple" of Shanghai Jade Buddha Temple. When it was brought into the temple, it was too big to tear down the gate wall of the temple. In the northwest corner of the first floor, there is Jing 'an stupa. There are five Tibetan four-sided pagodas at the top of the pagoda, which are decorated with 868 Buddha statues and many tantric treasures. However, this pagoda is generally not allowed to enter, so you can only look outside. Jing 'an Temple was originally a prominent school in the Han Dynasty. During the Republic of China, under the auspices of the abbot Song Chi, it gradually became a tantric Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Therefore, the architectural style is also a combination of Chinese and Tibetan. The Tibetan architectural style of Jing 'an stupa and the pillars outside the temple that read "Buddhism is long" are particularly obvious. On the south side of the second floor is the mountain gate, and on the second floor is the Heavenly King Hall. The left and right sides of the King's Temple are the Drum Tower and the Bell Tower respectively. Unfortunately, the doors are usually closed, and you can only look at the huge red drums and clocks from the window or the crack of the door. There are many rooms on the east and west sides of the second floor, where monks can be seen doing homework or rituals. Don't disturb them. On the north side of the second floor, that is, the upper floor of the lecture hall, is the Hall of the Great Hero, in which there is a Tathagata statue made of 15 tons of silver. The three-dimensional mural on the back of the Buddha statue is very exquisite and precious. It is a Buddhist story made up of colors such as Baoyu, Coral, Shell, Emerald and Pearl. , surrounded by four lotus petal-shaped frames, wrapped in gold foil. The bronze tile in the main hall of Jing 'an Temple is the top, and the lion's roar on the high pillar in front of the door is like gold. The top of the pagoda behind the temple is covered with gold. Looking at the whole temple from a distance, a golden roof is particularly conspicuous and shines in the sun. 1. Jingan Temple is full of incense. Every birthday and anniversary of the Bodhisattva, the temple will hold a dharma meeting. Usually, there are Buddhist activities such as monks giving lectures, and the specific activities and time will be posted on the bulletin board next to the temple gate. 2. There is a vegetarian restaurant next to Jing 'an stupa, but you can only enter the restaurant directly from the temple on the first and fifteenth day of each month, and you usually need to make a detour from the outside. The vegetarian noodles and mushroom noodles in the restaurant are good. 3. After Jing 'an Temple enters the gate, there is a place to fetch incense on the left. Help yourself. The incense is 2 yuan. You can also give it as you like and stuff it in the merit box under the incense table. 4. There is a logistics department near the square in the temple, where you can buy incense or "please" jewelry and Buddha statues. 5. When the temple enters the door, go to the end in the left hand direction, and there is a place where you can receive Buddhist pamphlets for free. The pamphlets are neatly placed on the windowsill of the first floor room on the southwest side of the temple. 6. There are some restaurants in Jing 'an Park opposite Jing 'an Temple. For example, in Bali, there are open-air seats by the lake. Eating dinner in the flickering light at night is particularly romantic and the price is naturally expensive. 7. Jing 'an Temple is a good place for shopping. The imported food next to Jiuguang Department Store is particularly famous; 1km east, hang lung plaza in Meilong Town, CITIC Pacific Plaza and Isetan have high-end goods and luxury goods for sale. Huashan Road on the other side is full of petty bourgeoisie sentiment, and there are small houses hidden under the buttonwood trees that cover the sky, which are suitable for couples to "run across the road". 8. When you leave the "Jing 'an Temple" subway station, you may meet the kind of person who pulls you to tell your fortune. Just ignore it.
