Zhaigou expedition

Leaving Luoyang, which was fumigated by the intense heat, our group came to the picturesque Xiashanzhai Valley to explore an ancient and quiet place.

Zhaigou is 0/59 km away from Luoyang City and 5 km away from Luanchuan County. It is adjacent to Laojun Mountain and the Yangtze River valley, and it was named after Fan Lihua led the army to build a village in the Tang Dynasty. Moreover, every landscape in Zhaigou is attached with magical legends.

When we walked into Zhaigou, we were moved by the green vegetation. Among these green vegetation, the green bamboo attracts me the most.

Bamboo is slender, like a young girl in her prime, childlike and tall, smart and vigorous. Bamboo and bamboo raft are lined up in a row and connected into one piece, which looks elegant.

The bamboo in Zhaigou is very strange. Bamboo shoots are as thick as the ground and very different from bamboo in other places. Thus, the bamboo in Zhaigou has its own legend. Legend has it that the day after Fan Lihua left Zhaigou and returned to the imperial court, Li Shimin Taizong went to visit her. Fan Lihua took out the bamboo leaves in Zhaigou and made a pot of tea for Li Shimin, then poured a cup for Li Shimin. Li Shimin took a sip of tea, tasted it and was very happy. He asked Fan Lihua how much bamboo tea he had brought. Fan Lihua asked, "Does the emperor like bamboo tea?" ? Li Shimin said: I not only like this kind of tea, but also want the unique fragrance of Zhaigou Bamboo Leaf Green that all officials in Qing Dynasty have tasted. Fan Lihua told Li Shimin that the output of this kind of bamboo leaves is not large. Li Shimin said, you go back to Zhaigou and send me a message. I told the bamboo there to grow up as soon as it was born, and to offer tea to it every year! After Fan Lihua returned to Zhaigou, he dared not neglect and immediately read out the imperial edict. Since then, the bamboo in Zhaigou has grown thick and tall. The solitary bamboo forest here has also become a famous "royal bamboo forest".

Zhaigou is famous not only for bamboo, but also for waterfalls.

There are many waterfalls in Zhaigou, which are densely distributed in the ditch and between mountains. As a landscape formed by the vertical drop when the river flows through faults, depressions and other areas, the unruly waterfall is like a natural harp, with beautiful notes flowing, showing its extraordinary talent with inspiration and romance. Waterfalls and mountains join hands, and they conjure up charming splash-ink landscape paintings, showing their poetic feeling in the wild.

In Zhaigou, the most striking thing is the treacherous cave waterfall. Unique cave waterfalls have unique causes and twists and turns. The water in the cave falls into the cave, suddenly flying like an arrow and sometimes jingling like a piano; Suddenly falling into a deep pool as quiet as a virgin, suddenly roaring and shaking the canyon, people have to sigh the wonders of nature!

Lihua Village in Zhaigou Scenic Area was the focus of the heroine Fan Lihua's garrison. Back in those days, Fan Lihua dug up land, built houses and stockades here. The stockade was full of gongs, drums and flags, and was heavily guarded. Nowadays, shanzhai has become a silent historical landscape for people to admire.

Fan Lihua was originally from Hanjiang Pass in the Western Regions, hence the name Hanshanpo. On the cold hillside, not only the ruins of ancient villages such as Dianjiangtai, flagpole nest and Shizhai wall are preserved, but also the local people have restored military facilities such as drum pavilion, archery field, slingshot field, eighteen weapons and challenge ring. Fan Lihua stayed here for 13 years, not only for self-cultivation, but also for saving the world and keeping people safe. Later, he was named General Hou Weining and Mrs. Zhen Yipin by the emperor.

Although I know that most of these legends are made up by the good wishes and goodwill of the local people, as a perfect natural landscape, it is really worthwhile for Fan Lihua, the representative of an ancient female hero, to camp here, and it is even more worthwhile for us to see it!
