What does Spring and Autumn mean?

"Spring and autumn" are often used to represent the four seasons of a year. Ancient ancestors in China attached great importance to the Spring and Autumn Sacrifice, from which "Spring and Autumn Festival" derived more linguistic meanings, which were commonly used to express: year, year, four seasons, four seasons, time, age and so on.

As an important era in the pre-Qin period, Chunqiu originated from the way historians recorded historical events in Lu. The Spring and Autumn Period is usually used to refer to the historical stage of the first half of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty in China, which is called the Spring and Autumn Period, that is, the historical period from 770 BC to 476 BC. It is said that because the historian of Lu recorded the major events of various countries at that time by year, season, month and day, there were four seasons in a year, so the chronicle was simply named Spring and Autumn.

The Spring and Autumn Period began in 770 BC (the first year of Zhou Pingwang), that is, the year when Zhou Pingwang moved eastward to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, and ended in 476 BC (the first year of Zhou Yuanwang), on the eve of the Warring States Period, with a total of 295 years. It is said that at the end of 453 BC, Han, Zhao and Wei destroyed Zhi's family, saying that at the end of 403 BC, the three families were divided into Jin.
