Rongcheng District is located in the middle of Chaoshan Plain, the middle of Rongjiang River Basin, backed by Huang Qishan and surrounded by Rongjiang River. It is the political and cultural center of Jieyang. 19911February, the State Council approved the establishment of Rongcheng District (county-level district), which now governs six districts including Xianqiao, Meiyun, Ronghua, Xinxing, Zhongshan, Xima, Rongdong, Dongsheng, Dongyang and Dongxing, and 10 street.
