Where is Biyang Lingyun Temple?

Biyang Lingyun Temple is a cultural tourist attraction.

Lingyun Temple (also known as Huashan Grandma Temple) is located at the top of Huashan Mountain in the north of Yangce Town, Biyang County. There is a brick tower and several stone tablets on it, which are built in memory of a chaste woman.

According to legend, there was a village at the foot of Huashan Mountain during the period of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty. Because the villagers are too busy to take care of their young children during the busy farming season, Huashan Reservoir next to the village is often flooded. After learning about this situation, Grandma Huashan took the initiative to go down to a big tree in the village, drew a big circle around the tree, and led the children of the whole village to play in it every day, which relieved the villagers' worries. Later, in order to express gratitude, people built a temple on the top of Huashan Mountain to commemorate Grandma Huashan. Photo by Fan Jinfeng
