Jiao Yushan is the head of Tashan Heroes Corps, and Jiang Minfeng is the political commissar of Tashan Heroes Corps.

Jiao Yushan, a native of Funan, Anhui Province, was born on 19 15 and participated in the Long March of the Red Fourth Front Army. Throughout the war of liberation, Jiao Yushan led his troops to participate in major battles such as Liaoshen Campaign, Tianjin Campaign, Hengbao Campaign and Guangxi Campaign.

On September 12, the Northeast Field Army launched the Liaoshen Campaign according to Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Mao Zedong's policy of wiping out the Kuomintang troops in the northeast and the instructions of the main force to conquer Jinzhou first.

In order to solve the danger of Jinzhou, Chiang Kai-shek flew to Shenyang and sat in Huludao.
