The origin of fortune-telling stories in the Eight Immortals Temple _ What is the origin of fortune-telling stories in the Eight Immortals Temple?
Legend has it that the owner of the Eight Immortals is the King of Huainan, and it is also said that the Eight Immortals have nothing to do with their cultivation of immortals.
The legend of the Eight Immortals originated very early, but there are many versions of characters. For example, the Eight Immortals in Huainan refer to the Eight Immortals who helped Liu An, the king of Huainan in the Western Han Dynasty, write Huainan Zi. King Huainan was a good immortal, and was passed down as a fairy by later generations. But later, because of the legend that the king of Huainan became an immortal, the Eight Immortals attached to his door also became immortals, called the Eight Immortals.
Ji Shu, embroidered by Shu in Jin Dynasty, said that the Eight Immortals came from different places and had nothing to do with them. The deeds of the Eight Immortals are mostly found in books of the Tang and Song Dynasties, but there is no such group as the Eight Immortals. Eight people are really called "Eight Immortals", which is in Yuan Zaju. These plays are all called Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, but their names are different, and each family is different.

The reason why the Eight Immortals became Immortals:
The legend of the Eight Immortals originated very early, but there were many versions of characters, especially before the Ming Dynasty, almost every dynasty had its own Eight Immortals. It was not until Wu Yuantai wrote Travel Notes to the East in the Ming Dynasty that the Eight Immortals were fixed as Tie Guai Li, Han Zhongli, Zhang, Lan Caihe, He Xiangu, Han Xiangzi and Cao Guojiu.
Tie Guai Li, the head of the Eight Immortals, was originally a handsome man in Taoist classics. One day, he met the old gentleman in Taishang and was invited to travel. Before he left, he entrusted the body to his disciples. If he didn't return on the 7th, he could incinerate it. On the sixth day, the apprentice was told by the fairy that his mother was in critical condition, so he burned the body and left. After learning this, Tie Guai Li hastily possessed the body of a cripple, and finally accepted God's will under the education of the old gentleman, and was extradited to become an immortal.
Zhong Liquan was originally a general in the Eastern Han Dynasty, so he was also called Han Zhongli. At that time, the Tubo rebellion, Zhong Liquan was sent to the battlefield. He chose Liang Ji, a powerful minister, and intended to assign him to his old, frail and defeated army. When he was attacked by the enemy, he was defeated and fled into the mountains. When I got lost, I happened to meet monk Hu to lead the way, and finally I met Donghua the Great, and I got the true sutra of immortality, the fire of the elixir, the swordsmanship of the dragon, and finally became immortal.
Lv Dongbin, formerly known as Yan Lu, was a poet. At the age of 64, when I was traveling to Chang 'an, I met Han Zhongli, a sage-like man, writing poems on the wall in a pub, so I went forward to strike up a conversation. Han Zhongli invited Lv Dongbin to go to Zhong Nanshan. Lv Dongbin, who was dissatisfied with everything, disagreed. Han Zhongli made him experience a life from prosperity to loneliness in his dream. After waking up, Lv Dongbin realized that life was like a dream, and then he decided to learn from Zhong Liquan.
Zhang is the oldest, and he is called Mr. He was a famous Taoist priest in Gansu at the turn of Sui and Tang Dynasties. Both Emperor Taizong and Emperor Gaozong wanted to call him into the palace, but they were all rejected. When Wu Zetian finally agreed to leave, she pretended to be dead and her body rotted. In the end, Tang Xuanzong tried his best to meet, but Zhang returned to the mountains on the grounds of old age and illness.
He Xiangu is the only female among the Eight Immortals, whose real name is He Xiugu. She was originally the daughter of a tofu mill in Zengcheng County, Guangzhou. At the age of 13, I met Lv Dongbin who was visiting here and gave her some mica sheets. From then on, I can know the fortunes of the world and often visit immortals in Luofu Mountain.
The rest of the Eight Immortals, Lan Caihe, surnamed Xu Mingjie, used to wear rags, walk downtown, get drunk and sing and travel around the world. Han Xiangzi, a great writer in Tang Dynasty and nephew of Han Yu, assistant minister of punishments, is good at playing the flute and worships Lv Dongbin as his teacher. Cao Guojiu, also known as Jingxiu, is the grandson of Cao Bin, the founding star of the Northern Song Dynasty. However, he disliked powerful people and preferred to practice, and eventually became an immortal.
