In the late Tang Xuanzong, politics changed from enlightened to corrupt. He dotes on eunuchs, making them depend on their own power to extort money. According to the story of the old father in Dongcheng written by Chen Hong in Tang Dynasty, Jia Chang, who was called a "chicken" at that time, was blessed by the emperor. "With gold and silk, he will come to his home one day." There is a folk song that says, "Jia's son and brother are thirteen years old, and his wealth is beyond his generation."
