Why is Xu Yun CSI still called Master Xu Yun?

Now many people call themselves masters, which did not exist in ancient times. Look at these ancient wizards who turn over scriptures. Their morality, knowledge and cultivation have reached a high level, and others are modest. We often see "Master Sanzang" in the titles of Buddhist scriptures. He is too modest to call him a mage. Those who know Confucian classics are called Master Sanzang, while those who know one kind of Confucian classics dare not be called Master Sanzang. Those who know the commandments are called lawyers, those who know the classics are called theorists, and those who know the classics are usually called wizards. They dare not add "Sanzang". Sanzang knows everything. No one dares to be a master! The master is a Buddha. We students should remember this. Never call yourself a master in the future. If you call yourself a master, you are too arrogant and go too far. When someone calls you master, you should make these facts clear to him. You can't call him that. It's not enough to call an exorcist, master. That "big" means respecting you and calling it an exorcist. You can't call him a master. Got it!

Just like in the world, names can't be used indiscriminately. The master is a Buddha, he is not a Buddha, he is called a master, which is wrong. For example, if you are not the president, you go out and tell people that I am the president, and you all have to call me the president. What? It is illegal for people in the world to do so. Is it illegal to commit crimes in Buddhism? Break the law. The laws of the world don't punish you, but the protector will punish you. It really is too much of you. But after many ancestors died, Dade was later called a master, which was a special courtesy for him. He doesn't know it himself, and later generations respect it.

However, there is one exception. The founder of the Pure Land Sect is generally called the Master, saying that the Master is not alive, and he is honored by later generations after his death. Because that "founder" is also respected by future generations. Pure land Sect has no inheritance, and it has not been passed down from generation to generation. Other sects and factions have been handed down from generation to generation. Pure land Sect is not, nor is pure land Sect. Where did the founder of Pure Land Sect come from? Being a descendant means being democratically elected. This man has made great achievements in the practice of Pure Land Sect and made great contributions to Pure Land Sect. Later he was called the founder, not himself. Therefore, the founders of Pure Land Sect were elected by the people and called Master, but none of them are alive.

You should know that when Master Yin Guang was alive, he was called Master Yin Guang. See the earliest Wen Chao. When his old man's house was alive, the "Indian Master Wen Chao" was not called a master. After his old man's death, he was later called "Master Printing Paper Money", OK! He can't be weighed when he is alive. "Master of the Unity of Heaven and Man", Buddha said, Buddha can do it, but Bodhisattva can't. Bodhisattva is called master, master and upright man, not master. This is common sense and we must understand it.
