Are He and Luo's letters ancient wordless gobbledygook?

He Tu and Luo Shu are mysterious patterns handed down from ancient times in China. According to legend, in ancient times, an ugly monster swam near the Yellow River with a jade plate engraved with strange patterns. This monster is very big. It not only eats people's rice and crops, but also begins to eat people alive. Hearing this, Fuxi came to the river with a sword to cut off the monster-the demon "Aztec". The monster couldn't beat Fuxi, so he knelt down and begged for mercy, calling himself the Dragon Horse of the Yellow River, and dedicated the jade plate on his back to Fuxi. Because the jade plate is the treasure of the Yellow River, Fuxi called this picture "River Map". Later, Fuxi also made "Eight Diagrams" according to the "River Map", calculated the calendar and predicted good or bad luck.

When Dayu was harnessing the water, once Yu diverted water from the Luohe River to dredge the river, and a giant turtle that could carry 100 people floated up from the bottom of the dry river. I thought it was a psychic turtle. Let it go. Soon after, the tortoise came to Luohe again and presented a radiant ancient jade plate with some mysterious words and pictures on it. Yu named this tracts "Luo Shu". It is said that there are 65 scarlet letters in the book that Dayu doesn't know at all. After repeated speculation, nine aspects, such as calendar, grain production and law making, were sorted out, and the ancients sorted it into the scientific code "Hong Fan Pian" that has been passed down to this day. "River Map" and "Luo Shu" in Zhu's Book of Changes.

These legends are recorded in Zhouyi, Shangshu and The Analects of Confucius. Among them, the most reliable is the copulative articles in Zhouyi. It is recorded as follows: "The river paints, Luo writes, and the sage writes." In Song Dynasty, when Zhu explained Zhouyi, he sent his scholar Cai to Sichuan and bought River Map and Luoshu from Huashan Taoist at a high price, both of which were figures composed of circles. In addition, in today's Luoning County, there are two stone tablets in the area of "Luochu Book". From 65438 to 0987, a large number of jade cards and soft-shelled turtles were unearthed from Lingjiatan Tomb in hanshan county, Anhui Province. According to experts' research, they are primitive Luoshu and Bagua pictures in the era of no words five thousand years ago.

It is said that both "River Map" and "Luo Shu" had illegible characters when they appeared in ancient times, and then they were slowly lost. The two paintings that people often see now are from Zhu's Yi Xue Enlightenment. Because some pictures are wordless and mysterious, people call them "wordless gobbledygook". Among them, the "river map" is represented by black and white ring points and arranged into a map. That is, 16 people are below, 27 people are above, 38 people are on the left, 49 people are on the right, and 50 people are in the middle. And "Lotu" is just a diagram with black and white points. Some people describe it as: "One wears nine shoes, three on the left and seven on the right, two on the four shoulders, eight on six, and the five rings are in the middle." These mysterious patterns have never been deciphered since ancient times.

As early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Hetu and Luoshu were already related to destiny, yin and yang, divination and so on. When Confucius traveled around the world unsatisfied, he sighed: "If birds don't arrive, rivers don't draw pictures, and I am a husband." At that time, there was already a book about destiny written by Laozi and Confucius, The Book of Heluo. Among the fortune-telling documents in the Han Dynasty, Hutuluo's books are complicated and mysterious, including 37 kinds such as Hutu Wai Land and Hutu Kaitu, and 9 kinds such as Luo Shuzhen Du Yao and Luo Shuling Zhun Ting. The book Confused Luo, which appeared in the Song Dynasty, added new contents, integrating astronomy, human body, yin and yang, and image number.

There are many explanations about the river map and Luo Shu, which some people think are records of ancient astronomical activities. Investigate its reason, the record of river map was first seen in Shangshu Gu Ming. According to records, when Zhou Kangwang ascended the throne, there were jade, jade, celestial sphere and river map in the East Wing. Later generations think that river maps are sundials and astronomical icons. At that time, these objects were instruments for observing the sky and the earth, with sacred and mysterious attributes, so they could be displayed with ancient jade representing the majesty of ancient kingship. According to Wei Zhi, the "Negative Gem Map" is a comprehensive map of the eight diagrams in the Book of Hutuluo. It looks like a compass, with a magnetic needle in the center and eight diagrams in the periphery, and the outermost layer is 28 nights. Therefore, when measuring the sun in ancient times, the river map was drawn according to the shadow of the sun; Luo Shu is a painting by Zhang, which is used to summarize the principles of astronomy. Others think that the equilateral triangle pattern on the stone tablet unearthed in Anbanpo, Xi 'an is their prototype, but this is just an idea.

Recently, Yang Guang, a retired senior engineer from Southwest Institute of Electronic Technology, and his son Xiangyu Yang found that the character "ten" at the core of "Luo Shu" is exactly the same as the character "ten" in the portrait of "Aztec" calendar center found in Mexico and the character "ten" in the top view center of the pyramid. They put forward that "Luo Shu" is an alien relic, "River Map" describes the gene sequencing rules of cosmic creatures, and "Aztec calendar stone" is an alien's self-introduction to the people on earth. Of course, this is just speculation.

All kinds of statements about "river map" and "Luo Shu" have not really found a basis. What kind of pattern is the river map and what kind of writing symbol is Luo Shu? What are their prototypes? How did the ancients draw gossip based on them? These questions remain to be answered.
