Huanglongxi ancient town in Chengdu, with the entrance of yamen facing north, is in charge of civil affairs, water affairs and bandits in three counties.

Huanglongxi town, a small town with a history of more than 265,438+000 years in the south of Shuangliu District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is the second stop of our trip to Yunnan, Tibet, Sichuan and Qinghai-Tibet with Xia Jie, president of Huaxian Mountaineering Association of Henan Province. On the first day, we stayed in Hanzhong, which is at the junction of Sichuan and Shaanxi.

It's still early to leave Hanzhong in the morning and arrive at Huanglongxi ancient town through Chengdu in the afternoon. Once we settle down, we will visit the town.

Thinking about leaving here early the next morning, and there are so many subjects to shoot in the ancient town, Rui's vision is anxious. Although, the temperature was as high as 30 degrees and the humidity was above 90% that afternoon.

The main street of the ancient town is "one street and three temples", followed by Zhenjiang Temple, Chaoyin Temple and Gulong Temple from north to south.

Historically, Huanglongxi belongs to the "Golden Triangle" zone, where civil economic disputes and bandits run rampant in three counties (Huayang, Pengshan and Renshou), so the three-county yamen (now the joint office) was established to take charge of civil affairs, water affairs and bandits.

The three-county yamen in Gulong Temple is the most famous cultural relic in Huanglongxi ancient town and the only remaining yamen building in Chengdu in the Qing Dynasty. One government, three management, governing the county according to law, has provided the world with a model of scientific management.

Tri-county yamen originated in Qing Dynasty, which is a trans-regional specialized management organization to co-ordinate the water conservancy of Gufuo Weir in Huayang, Renshou and Pengshan counties, commonly known as Zongye Yamen.

During the Republic of China, the agency set up a bureau to legislate and was in charge of civil affairs, water affairs and bandits. People began to say "three county yamen".

There is a woodcarving couplet at the entrance of the county government. Cloud: "Huanglong 'an Zushan stretches its dragon claws and holds chicken wings, while Baima Linjiang turns to the horse's head to see Tiger Rock". Six place names (Huanglong, African Claw, Chicken Wings, Baima, Matou and Huyan) were embedded in the couplet, and the regional scope of water diversion irrigation in Gufuo Weir was introduced, which was also under the jurisdiction of the three county governments.

Sanxian yamen is the official moral education base in Chengdu. On the day we went, the yamen was closed. On the east side of the entrance, there is a bulletin board 10 months ago: Dear tourists and friends, due to potential safety hazards in the main body of the yamen in the three counties, it will be closed in the near future, so please forgive the inconvenience caused.

The ancient yamen is the only well-preserved "three-county yamen" in China, and it is now a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit.
