Shengshouta 1

brief introduction

Shengshou Tower is located at the top of Taping Mountain (Nanshan) in Changle City, 40 kilometers east of Fuzhou, so it is also called "Nanshan Tower". Shengshou Pagoda was built in October of the seventh year of Song Zhenghe (117), with a height of 27.4 meters, stone structure, pavilion-style building and seven-story octagon. This tower is an arched cavity with square stone steps. 2. Longquan Temple

brief introduction

Walking on the road leading to Changle International Airport, when approaching Shajing Village, Shang He Town, I saw a huge road sign-Longquan Temple in the distance. Turn right in the direction of the arrow, and you will see the temple rising layer by layer along the mountain, but not more than 30 miles.

Longquan Temple is located in a corner of the foothills, surrounded by villages and fields, with thick forests and dense fog on the mountains, which is quite clean and solemn. Passing through a white stone archway, the four vigorous characters of "Baizhang Zuting" are facing the red-walled and red-tiled mountain gate. The architectural features are quite antique, with cornices carved with beams and painted buildings. The two dragons on the eaves are lifelike against the blue sky and white clouds. Stepping into the mountain gate, the first thing that attracts people's attention is two simple and solemn stone pillars, the top of which has been carefully processed to present a mortise and tenon format.

Bypassing the release pond, there is a building with yellow tiles and a plaque on the door that says "Baizhang Huaihai Zen Master Memorial Hall".

There is a Longquan well next to the memorial hall. It is said that this well was built with the temple.

Another wonder of Longquan Temple is the 16 stone pillar of Daxiong Hall. These stone pillars are tall and thick, simple and dignified, with a height of 6 meters and a circumference of 3 meters, each weighing about 5 tons. According to historical records, they have been preserved until the Tang Dynasty. The lotus-shaped base of the stone pillar is also engraved with the name of the donor at that time. There is a boulder-like ingot behind the Hall of the Great Hero, with a Buddha statue named "Out of the Rice Buddha" carved in the middle.

There are also some cliff stone carvings around Longquan Temple, such as "Chaoyang" and "Solanum nigrum", which are said to have been left when Zhu came to give lectures and travel.
