Introduction of Moushi Manor (Qixia people help)

Mu Manor, also known as Muerhei Manor, is located in the ancient town of du cun (north of No.3 Road) in the north of Qixia City. This is the place where the Mumulin family, the largest landlord in the north, has lived together for generations. The whole manor building is well-structured, solid and majestic. It is the largest feudal landlord manor in northern China and the most complete and typical landlord manor in China. With its large scale and profound connotation, Moushi Manor was appraised by many experts and scholars as "the living fossil of a century-old manor", "the treasure of traditional architecture" and "the land of prosperity for 600 years", and was announced as "the national key cultural relics protection unit" by the State Council on 1988. It is an outstanding architectural achievement that absorbs the artistic style of the northern nationalities in China, and has high artistic value and rich historical and cultural connotation. Known as the "small folk palace in China", Moushi Manor systematically shows the emergence, development and demise of the feudal landlord class, and is a "physical encyclopedia" reflecting the life of the feudal landlord class.

Moushi Manor was built in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty, and it didn't reach its present scale until 1935. The whole manor is divided into three groups, including six courtyards, covering an area of 20,000 square meters and having more than 480 halls. Looking at the overlap of many quadrangles, horizontally, the channels are alternating, with distinct levels and distinct priorities. The three-dimensional buildings in the hospital are mostly two-story buildings, and the houses are mostly carved beams and painted buildings, with open columns and flower windows and embossed patterns, which are lifelike. There are rows of distinctive and colorful "tiger skin wall" manor buildings, which are made of river pebbles with different shapes and colors. The designs such as "Lotus for making money" and "Lotus for giving birth to your son" are exquisite and breathtaking. The "Three Monsters" architecture is even more intriguing and fascinating. The chimney stands outside the gable is one of them. It looks like a small pavilion, towering in the air and unique.

The architectural culture of Mou's manor is extensive and profound. Along the north-south central axis, quadrangles have been built in six courtyards, namely, south penthouse, bungalow, living room, building, small building, north penthouse and east-west penthouse, forming a set of ancient buildings with typical northern residential architectural characteristics. The building technology of the manor is unique, with clear carving, exquisite carving, bright columns and bright windows, brilliant literary talent and beautiful scenery, and it has the artistic characteristics of "three sculptures", "six eccentricities" and "nine wonders". The folk culture of Mou's manor has a long history, and the folk culture of Jiaodong takes the manor as the carrier, showing its own superiority, diversity and inheritance. It vividly reflects the ancient folk customs in northern China, such as agricultural production customs, family customs, food, clothing, housing and transportation, life etiquette customs, holiday customs and so on. It will play a positive role in inheriting and carrying forward traditional excellent national culture, developing tourism and developing local economy.

The stone wall of Mou's manor is as flat as a mirror, and the stone seams are as thin as lines. It is said that when building a wall, the owner will send some copper coins and pot irons to masons every day, and use them to embed between cracks to make the wall smooth. If you look closely, you can often find copper coins embedded in the cracks in the wall. It is said that the average cost of each stone is a barrel of millet, and this wall consumes 446 barrels of grain. There are flower walls and 386 hexagonal wall stones in the courtyard. Any one of them can form a hexagonal flower pattern with the surrounding stones, generally forming a continuous flower pattern. Its exquisiteness is amazing. Moushi Manor, with its large scale and profound connotation, has been appraised by many experts and scholars as "the treasure of traditional architecture", "the small folk palace in China" and "the land of spiritual reproduction for 600 years", and now it has become a famous tourist attraction.
