Fortune teller in Qing dynasty

As we all know, when the ancients saw the emperor, they all shouted: Long live, long live! Although the emperor can't live to be 10 thousand years old, many emperors dream of immortality, so they pursue the panacea for immortality. As a result, it backfired and shortened their life span. It is reported that there were more than 400 emperors in ancient China, but their average life expectancy was less than 40 years.

Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, who ascended the throne at the age of 25, was in power for 60 years and was the emperor's father for more than 3 years. He lived a total of 89 years and was the longest-lived emperor in the history of China.

There is also a folk legend about the longevity of Qianlong. It is said that there was a fortune-teller named Guan Tianbao during the Qianlong period, because he wrote a wonderful book praising the Qing Dynasty and the Qing emperor-The Destiny of the Qing Dynasty, which was sent to the guillotine by the Qianlong emperor. Why?

Zhi Tianbao is a native of Gaoyi County, Zhili. He used to be a gangster, living a life of cheating, eating, drinking and fooling around. Later, he became a "barefoot doctor", opened a pharmacy for a living, and accepted an apprentice named Zhang. Because I didn't make any money, I had to live a very poor life.

Later, Zhi Tianbao met a fortune teller. After borrowing some books from him and taking them home to study them carefully for a period of time, I felt that selling medicine had no future, so I quickly changed my profession and made a living by reading fortune, commonly known as fortune telling.

He set up a stall to tell others' fortune, made up his mind, and became more and more famous. Later, he decided to seek wealth in danger and made up a book called The Destiny of Qing Dynasty.

In the gobbledygook, Zhi Tianbao made up the year number with eight diagrams, edited three year numbers after each divinatory symbol to deal with the 33-day number, and then calculated that the Qing Dynasty was an act of God, and the national luck was 800 years longer than that of the Zhou Dynasty. In addition to calculating the national luck, Zhi Tianbao also calculated the life span of Qianlong, and thought that Qianlong could live to 80 years old.

At the same time, Zhi Tianbao also asked his apprentice Zhang to present a book to the court, calling it a fairy thing.

Zhang also lived up to his mission and successfully presented books, so "Zhitianbao" confidently expected to receive the rewards and gifts from Emperor Qianlong, dreaming of a promotion and a rich life.

In fact, although this book is fabricated, Zhi Tianbao still took a lot of brains. You should know that the Zhou Dynasty has the longest history, from the establishment of the Western Zhou Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, with a total of 79 1 year. He said that the fate of the Qing dynasty can reach 800 years, which is naturally the highest in history. This is a compliment and compliment. At the same time, emperors in past dynasties were mostly short-lived emperors, and longevity was really strange. Only a handful of emperors, such as Wu Zetian and Kublai Khan, lived over 80 years. Before Qianlong, among the emperors of the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi lived the longest, in his 60s. Therefore, predicting that Qianlong can live to 80 years old is also considered as "flattering" Qianlong.

However, cleverness has been deceived by cleverness. Zhi Tianbao made a fatal mistake, that is, he made the figures too specific and realistic, and made a big taboo of talking nonsense about life and death. The emperor's mind is not as realistic as that of ordinary people. Because they have supreme power, they will also have whimsical ideas. They naturally hope that their dynasty can be passed down from generation to generation and live forever.

Zhi Tianbao predicted that the emperor's life span would be 800 years and 80 years, which was obviously not recognized by Emperor Qianlong. You know, when Zhi Tianbao presented the gobbledygook, Gan Long was nearly seventy years old. The book says that he will live at most 10 years, which is not the curse of nudity.

As a result, Qianlong, who was originally suspicious, immediately sent someone to investigate the ins and outs of Zhitianbao. As a result, Zhi Tianbao's hidden political background was quickly dug out. The next thing is simple. After careful examination, Zhi Tianbao and Zhang quickly "confessed" that they wanted to get rich in this way.

Gan Long flew into a rage after hearing this: beheaded. The charge is four words: spreading rumors and confusing people.

Of course, history and facts also prove that Zhitianbao is indeed a fabricated "Oracle", which is not reliable at all. Therefore, his "suicide" is just a joke of later generations.
