On the banks of Canglang River in the southeast of Wugang, a border town in Hunan Province, there is a story about Qu Yuan worshipping fishermen. Since ancient times, people have studied Chu Ci and told the story of Qu Yuan, but they don't understand the word "fisherman". So far, no one has really and reasonably explained the true meaning of the word "fisherman". Even a professor of ancient prose, even an expert on Chu Ci and Qu Yuan, can only interpret "fisherman" as a character. I looked up the words "fisherman" and "fisherman" in the dictionary, and I can only explain the word "fisherman": a man who makes a living by fishing calls him a fisherman. There is no word "fisherman" in the dictionary, which means that fisherman is a specific usage in a specific sense and has no general meaning. Therefore, the word fisherman recorded in Qu Yuan's life experience has its specific significance. The land of surging waves was called "the wild land of Wuling, the border city" in ancient times. In the legends and stories circulated by Canglang River in Wugang, a border town, the true meaning of the word "fisherman" is little known, which is in line with this special significance.
According to legend, during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the patriotic poet Qu Yuan was exiled to Jiangnan when he was an official in the imperial court. In Shejiang and Little Lisao, Qu Yuan described his exile route: first leaving Ezhu (Wuchang), Xiajiang Township (where the Yangtze River meets Xiangjiang River), Difanglin, Huishuiyuan, Fayouzhu (Changde, Shui Yuan), crossing Chenyang (Chenxi), entering Xupu, reaching Zishui ... But when Qu Yuan was exiled, he passed through Xu Shui. Wandering wildly on the Jingshui River and straying into the Jishui River. Jishui is a tributary of Zishui, and Qu Yuan mistook it for the mainstream of Zishui. When I arrived at the confluence of Jishui Canglang, I met a fisherman. After asking, I realized that I had taken the wrong route. Qu Yuan was wrong, so he took saving water and surging waves as the last exile route-Zijiang. Qu Yuan made friends with fishermen and had a cordial conversation after landing. The fisherman is forty years old and has no children. The fisherman's wife, thirty years old, is eager to have a child. She said to the fisherman, "We can't live without children. We should adopt one or borrow seeds to have one.". The adopted children are all others' and have no blood relationship with us fishermen. I'm going to borrow seeds to have children. At least my mother is real, and at least half of her blood relationship is better than others. "
The fisherman said, "This is the reason, but the relationship in the future is not easy to handle. In case the news gets out, how can you meet someone on this surging river bank? "
The fisherman's wife said, "We don't borrow local ones. I think which guest officer (Qu Yuan) you have a cordial conversation with is very suitable. He is a good-looking man and a passer-by. He left the next day. As long as I don't say it, no one knows. "
Hearing the truth, the fisherman promised his wife to borrow seeds to have children. So the fisherman went on a business trip and came back three days later. The fisherman's wife accompanied Qu Yuan for three days. When Qu Yuan left, he said to the fisherman's wife, "Children born in the future will worship the fisherman as their father. You can tell him that when the child grows up, Qu Yuan is his biological father. " Knowing that the fisherman's wife can't read, Qu Yuan wrote her a note with Qu Yuan's name on it. Qu Yuan made it clear and left. From this day on, Qu Yuan recorded it as a fisherman in his diary and works.
A few months after Qu Yuan left Canglangshui, the fisherman's wife gave birth to a boy. When naming the child, she remembered the note that Qu Yuan left for her when she left, but she accidentally lost the note and couldn't find it, so she invited a fortune teller to divine and measure the words. When Mr. Wang asked, the fisherman's wife had to tell the truth. The gentleman asked again, "Do you remember how the words on that note were written?"
Because the fisherman's wife can't read, she only remembers the approximate stroke shape, writes the first half of the word, and denies herself after writing. She added a horizontal line in the middle of the word to become a negative word, and then said, "This is probably the glyph."
The gentleman asked again, "What does this man do?"
The fisherman's wife is not sure, except that he is an official. So the gentleman understood and said to the fisherman's wife, "Iraq is your woman's name." Since he is an official, he should be Daoyin and Yin Fu. If Yin is right, the child must be surnamed Yin. "
Later, the fortune teller said that the fisherman's wife's children were descendants of Qu Yuan. When the fisherman became a mother, he blamed the fortune teller and said why he didn't tell her father's surname Qu, but changed his surname Yin? The fortune-teller said, "Qu Zi is half yin, and Iraqi (female) is half yin, so it is yin."
Hearing this, the fisherman's wife makes sense. Her original intention of borrowing seeds is to seek half truth, which is exactly her original intention. Half of the children belonged to her fisherman, and the fisherman really became a fisherman. In order to commemorate the friendship between Qu Yuan and fishermen, people in the border town built a fisherman's pavilion to worship him, and changed water saving to water saving, so as to correct Qu Yuan's misunderstanding of water saving. In fact, the real endowment water originated in Ziyuan County, Guangxi, and the endowment water in the border town was only the endowment water river that people in the border town skillfully borrowed from Qu Yuan's exile route. This is the origin of the names of two Zishui rivers in Shaoyang, Hunan.
After the fisherman's wife gave birth to Yin's child, the custom of borrowing seeds became popular here. Those childless families don't adopt other people's children, but borrow half of them from the collection.
Of course, this is the folklore of unofficial history. Speaking of evidence, there are several historical records for reference.
"Introduction to Hunan Archaeology" Volume 5 records: "Fisherman's Pavilion, Canglang Water in Wugang East, where Qu Yuan meets fishermen."
Hu Ceng, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote in Fisherman's Pavilion:
"Wugang surging waves, a fisherman's pavilion ..."
There are two poems in the County Records of Wugangfu in Border Town about this matter. 1. During the thirty-five to thirty-eight years of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1696 to 1699), Peng Kaiyou, then the magistrate of Wugang in the border town, wrote the poem Fisherman's Pavilion:
"Not Xiangjiang Road, but also a fishing hall.
Where the sand stones sink, tears spill and read more.
There are still people who are wronged and have no land to live.
Only the capital can compare, what is a suicide note? "
The sentence "Not Xiangjiang Road, Siting is also a fisherman" means that Qu Yuan was exiled not according to the planned route of Jiang, Xiang, Yuan and Zi, but after entering Zishui, he strayed into Jishui and Canglang Water, and the origin of the name of this fisherman's pavilion in the border town was thus produced. The sentence "There are still people who have been wronged and have no land for divination" means that there are still fishing wives who borrowed Qu Yuan's seeds to know Qu Yuan's surname and divination is Yin. That sentence "only the capital can compare, what is a suicide note?" It means clear and surging water. When I met a fisherman at the Shuilekou where Dushan meets Jishui, I realized that I had taken the wrong road and mistook Canglang and Jishui for Zishui. Later generations remembered Qu Yuan and named Jishui Zishui. The fisherman's wife lost the note written by Qu Yuan and mistakenly asked about the origin of Yin.
Second, in the fifty years of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (17 1 1), the poem "Fisherman's Pavilion" written by Liu Yun Zhong:
Li Sao is a song in itself, and I want to see the rough waves.
Pan Xiang coincides with the fisherman. Who asked Dong Tingbo?
The lonely pavilion is full of orchids, and the old snow is broken.
I remember trying to summon my soul. It rained heavily. "
Liu Yun-Zhong's poem also mentioned "Who would like to see stormy waves, which coincides with fishermen and fortune tellers", explained the folk story of Qu Yuan in Border Town, and answered the origin of the special term "fisherman".
Because of this, Wugang, a small border town, is not only popular with the custom of eating zongzi on the Dragon Boat Festival on May 5, but also popular with the custom of borrowing seeds to have children (just contrary to the popular custom of marrying in eastern Zhejiang, it is proud of marrying). The fisherman Yin Ting and his family are also proud of this, and they respect Qu Yuan and the fisherman as their second ancestors.

1867 (the sixth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty), Qi Baishi's younger brother Song Chun was born in Xiaolin. 1870, the third brother was reborn in spring. When the years were bad and the population increased, Qi Baishi had to keep learning to help at home. During the three years from 187 1 to 1873, Qi Baishi was very young, and he was able to do a lot of things at home, such as carrying water, growing vegetables, sweeping the floor, doing odd jobs, taking his two younger brothers to play and chopping wood up the mountain. The game they like to play is chopping bamboo poles as horses. This simple game brought great happiness to Qi Baishi when he was a child.
Qi Baishi helps his family, and no matter how busy and tired he is, he will never forget to study. He has a strong thirst for knowledge. He kept in mind his grandfather's words that reading can be done anywhere and should be done. Every day when he goes up the mountain to herd cattle and take care of his second brother, Qi Baishi takes books with him. When chopping wood and collecting dung, hang the book on the corner first and read it after you finish your work. I not only reviewed some books I learned in Mongolian Museum, but also wrote down the words I didn't understand and didn't know in reading of the analects of confucius, and then I asked my grandfather after accumulating them for a period of time. Gradually, I actually finished reading The Analects.
Besides reading, Qi Baishi insists on writing and drawing every day. He made up his mind to be a painter, Rainbow Mian. Under such circumstances, Qi Baishi developed the habit of studying hard. Although hard, he was happy and full. Later, he carved the seal "I hung the corner of a book" as a souvenir.
Qi Baishi was weak and sickly since childhood. He helps his family every day and often reads until late at night. My grandmother was worried about his poor health, so she invited a blind man to tell Qi Baishi's fortune, and hung a bronze bell and an inscription. Quot There is no bronze medal of Amitabha in South China. Unfortunately, in the early years of the Republic of China, the copper bell and bronze medal were lost.
Later, Qi Baishi remembered the kindness of his grandmother and mother, specially copied a set and hung it around his waist, and wrote a poem:
Grandma began to cheer up when she heard the bell.
I also hung the horn to herd cattle.
Children and grandchildren still plough the spring rain,
I am always sweating like a pig.
Apricot blossom wind in Xingtang area,
The yellow calf went to the east and returned to the east.
The bell on my body is maternal love,
Now it is also called the bell ringer.
1March 9, 874, Qi Baishi, 12 years old, married fellow countryman Chen Chunjun as a child bride. Child brides are mostly children of poor families with large population and poor family circumstances. Chen Chunjun was born in February 1863, 13, one year older than Qi Baishi. The living conditions of her family are similar to those of Qi Baishi. She has been used to working at home since she was a child. Young as she is, she is a good housekeeper. Qi Baishi's whole family likes her very much.
There are unexpected events in the sky. Qi Baishi had just been married for three months when his grandfather died. It was the Dragon Boat Festival. This is like a bolt from the blue for Qi Baishi, and it is the first unfortunate thing he encountered in his life.
After his grandfather died, Qi Baishi felt much older. In addition to his father, the labor force at home is Qi Baishi. As the eldest son, he must help his father shoulder the burden of life.
After this change, the life of Qi Baishi's family was even more difficult. Looking at his father's exhausted appearance in the field, Qi Baishi wished he could not grow up any faster.
1875 at the turn of spring and summer, the rain in Hunan is particularly heavy, and the green and yellow are not connected. Qi Baishi's family broke down again, so he had to dig some wild vegetables to satisfy his hunger. Life is really miserable!
1876, Qi Baishi's fourth brother was born, named Chun Pei and Fang Lin. /kloc-When he was 0/4 years old, Qi Baishi began to help his father farm. Qi Baishi's family grows paddy fields. Rice seedlings have to soak in water all day, bend over and work all day, and even don't bother to eat rice.
Everything beautiful and vital in life has infinite attraction to Qi Baishi. He often squats beside flowers and plants, carefully observes the shapes of stamens and petals, and compares the different petals between flowers. He observed the growth of leaves, branches and trunks, and even clearly understood the veins and textures of leaves. The collision at the farmer's table is excusable and resistant to dilution. What's the saying? 3R Huan? Why don't you catch up with Fu? Hey, just?
One evening, after a day's work, Qi Baishi sat by the pool and washed his feet. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain. He hurriedly pulled his foot out of the water and saw that it was a grass shrimp that pinched his toe out of blood. This aroused Qi Baishi's great interest in grass shrimp. After careful observation of grass shrimp, he drew the first shrimp in his life, which was lifelike and never stopped. Qi Baishi's shrimp painting is famous all over the world, and it began at this time.
Qi Baishi once painted a picture of a small fish. After painting, he wrote:
"This kind of fish is commonly known as hemp fiber fish, and its tail is like it." Cheeks are a little green and tails are a little red. "
In Qi Baishi's eyes, everything has its own characteristics, and the rules should not be messed up when painting. For example, a rose: "its thorns grow downward, so it often cares about people's clothes." Another example is wisteria: "The wisteria in the south is full of flowers and leaves, and the wisteria in the north is flowering first and then leaves, otherwise it will be interesting."
Qi Baishi, who later became a master, produced a touching image of little life and a simple image of wild flowers and weeds, which largely benefited from his strong feelings about life when he was young.
In Qi Baishi's works, flowers, birds, insects and fish, especially the ink, shrimps and crabs he painted, are not the reappearance of objects between paper and pen, but are endowed with happy and prosperous figures, infinite nostalgia, infinite vitality and magical charm from an artistic point of view, which makes people feel cordial, excited and reverie.
Everyone has a lovely hometown, and everyone has an unforgettable childhood. Qi Baishi has formed an indissoluble bond with these most familiar little lives since his hometown and childhood. Even if he lives far away in Beijing, he keeps some shrimps and crabs in a glass jar, carefully pondering and observing them, so that he can draw them easily.
The language of painting is the same as that of poetry, both lyrical and emotional. Writing about grass worms and expressing affection for the countryside not only embodies the painter's enduring childlike innocence, but also embodies the painter's strong local flavor.
