As the saying goes: "No pains, no gains. How can you grow sweet beans by planting bitter gourd? If it is, if it is, I am not happy at all. If you plant good causes, you will get good results; If you plant evil causes, you will get bad consequences. There is no result, but the time is not up. As the saying goes, "good is rewarded with good, and evil with evil." If you don't report it, it's not the right time. 」

So before discussing cause and effect, we must have a correct understanding of time. Causality is about three generations-past, present and future. Ordinary people are short-sighted, only believe in the present world, don't believe in the past world and don't believe in the future world. Everything is real only when you see what is in front of you. I don't know. This view of time is extremely simple and easy to understand. Now I'll give you an example to prove it.

Everyone knows that there is yesterday, today and tomorrow; If we push from today, there will be countless yesterdays. This infinite yesterday is a past without a beginning! Push forward from today, and there will be an endless tomorrow. Doesn't this endless tomorrow constitute an endless future?

How can we say that we don't recognize the existence of tomorrow until we see it? Can't remember yesterday, just say there is no yesterday? In the same way, if you only know the present world, but don't know the past world and the future world, it's just like a child, too naive and pitiful. Please study hard, increase your wisdom, and stop being ignorant and arrogant.

With the above knowledge, you won't be angry and unhappy for those who do good deeds. See evil people comfortable and complain that God is unfair. A good man is rewarded, which he feels because of the evil he has created in the past; The wicked man is rewarded, because he used to have good reasons and didn't enjoy all the blessings he planted. Don't just say the first life, but taste the true meaning of the principle of the third life! If we understand the truth that cause and effect lead to the third world, that is, as long as time comes, the cause of good and evil will mature, and it is inevitable that good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil. So I often say: there are no perfect good people and no 100% wicked people in the world; Because the karma of good and evil created by all beings is different, the results of bitterness and joy are also different. How can a person who does good or evil in his life blame others because he doesn't seem to get what he deserves

Understand the above truth, then you just need to say hard work, don't ask about harvest. Because there is cultivation, there will be harvest. Although there is no immediate harvest, we can't sow today, so let it bear fruit tomorrow!

The same is true of learning Buddhism. You went up the mountain to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva today, asking the Bodhisattva to bless you immediately. Then you are in a hurry! Maybe you worshipped Guanyin today and accidentally fell down from the mountain and broke a leg. Can you say that Guanyin Bodhisattva is heartless?

Buddhists must be cool-headed so as not to reverse right and wrong. In fact, Guanyin Bodhisattva is too kind to you. Bodhisattva will still bless you if you don't ask. If you treat your child like a loving mother, do you have to ask your mother for protection before she will give you protection? Maybe you will die today! It is because of your merits of worshipping Buddha that you broke your leg and got hurt. This is the merciful blessing of Guanyin Bodhisattva, which makes you repay lightly, and you don't know it. If you don't believe this, can you still be called a devout Buddhist? For such a person who doesn't believe in cause and effect and turns right from wrong without persuasion, then we are ashamed of our limited wisdom and virtue and can't understand him. There's really nothing to say.

If you can cultivate good causes in this life, your karma will be reduced. If you don't lose a lot, it's because your good cause is not enough. You should be ashamed and try to do good again. For example, a pot of boiling hot water, if you only add a cup of cold water, its heat will not decrease, unless you continue to add cold water, it will become cold. So if you can't get rid of the bad environment when you do good things in your life, it means that you are not doing well enough. You should study harder. How can you say that avalokitesvara is heartless and insensitive? This truth can only be told to smart people, not to fools.

When it comes to induction, some people ask for it, while others ask for it. Buddha and Bodhisattva seem to turn a blind eye. What is this, colleague? For example, a child who studies hard and follows the rules will ask his mother for money as soon as he opens his mouth; Another lazy boy, who doesn't study well, asked his mother for money, but she didn't give him a dime. The same is true of learning Buddhism. If you want something, you shouldn't. Is it because Buddha and Bodhisattva are not merciful? In fact, we were told in the Shurangama Sutra that avalokitesvara was too merciful, seeking wealth and getting children. But it also depends on what you are asking for. When you get rich, will you do good deeds? If you have money and don't do good deeds, can Bodhisattva give you money?

Induction has advantages and disadvantages, and both advantages and disadvantages are the compassion of Buddha and Bodhisattva. Prosperity is good, but wisdom can only be discussed in adversity. For example, a mild spring can certainly make a hundred flowers blossom and everything grow, but how can it bear fruit without autumn and winter? Without cold winter, how can fragrant, persistent and noble plum blossoms bloom?

Therefore, the more difficult it is for a truly wise person to learn Buddhism, the stronger his mind, and the more he can achieve Bodhi Tao. How many eminent monks and great virtues in ancient and modern times, and those who have obtained sharp weapons, have achieved it in hardships and hardships! Finally, I wish you all the best!
