According to China News Network, Baihe County is located in the depths of the mountains at the junction of Shaanxi and Hubei. It is a typical mountainous county and a deep poverty-stricken area in China.

Baihe County is located in the east of Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, east of Daba Mountain. It is bordered by the Han River in the north, across the river from Yunxi County, Hubei Province, with Yunxian County and Zhushan County in Hubei Province in the east and south, and Xunyang City in the west.
