" Maitreya Bodhisattva is to follow all sentient beings and make them happy. He believes that to make all sentient beings happy is to make all buddhas and bodhisattvas happy. The more important performance of Maitreya's compassion for all beings is that he often speaks for his disciples in the inner court, persuading more suffering beings to live in Maitreya's pure land and then live in Maitreya's pure land.
