Fortune Telling Collection - Comprehensive fortune-telling - Children who die young are bodhisattvas.
Children who die young are bodhisattvas.
When you travel to Japan, you will often see rows of small Buddha statues in temples, such as the statue of Ksitigarbha, one of the four great bodhisattvas. These little Buddha statues are wearing cashmere hats and aprons. Children's toys or snacks are often enshrined in front of Buddha statues.
Because Shintoism, the state religion of Japan, is taboo to anything related to death, this kind of Buddha statue has never appeared in the shrine. These statues are small and lovely, exquisite and photogenic, but each Buddha statue contains a sad history, because each statue belongs to a child who died young. No matter whether the child died of accident, disease or abortion, these statues of Tibetan Bodhisattva are entrusted with the infinite grief of parents for the premature death of their children.
The Japanese believe that the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is the patron saint of children who died young, and soothes their hearts when they cross the Sandu River to another world. Moreover, Japanese parents regard the early death of their children as a lack of goodness before passing on the family line.
For the Japanese, the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is the protector of children, especially those who die before their parents. According to Japanese belief, children who die before their parents have insufficient merits and cannot cross the Sanchahe River to the next life. On the one hand, they don't have enough time to accumulate virtue in the world, and death also hurts their parents' hearts. Therefore, the punishment will be to stay on the river bank and pile stones forever. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva lets the souls of these children hide in his robe to listen to him chanting and ward off evil spirits, which is also equivalent to gathering merits for these children.
Causes and consequences of children's short life
Maybe it's because your son is so excellent that all excellent people will die young. God liked him so much that he sent him back early, so he didn't want him to suffer in the world.
Taboo after the death of a child.
After the child died, there was a saying among the people that the child's name should not be called. When they say this, they will say that the child will come back to life. But this is basically superstition, but I don't want parents to increase their thoughts on their children. Some things are believed. If you don't believe it, it's nothing. After the child died. This kind of person can't name him, just want him to reach bliss early. The best thing that can make children walk carefree is to be buried underground.
At that time, most of the urns and coffins were buried with children who died young, while the adults and minors were buried directly in the pit. Take Banpo site as an example. Among the 250 graves that have been excavated, there are 174 adult graves, 73 children's urns and coffins, and only 3 children's graves. A large number of children's urns and coffins not only showed the low living standard of children at that time, but also showed that children were taken special care of. In addition, no matter Banpo site or Beishouling site, most of the pottery pots and bowls used for children's burial utensils have a small hole at the bottom or on the basin used as a coffin cover, some are drilled into a regular circle, and some are knocked into an irregular shape. A small piece of pottery is often covered on the small hole, and its inner surface is also coated with red pigment. What is the significance of all this has aroused people's speculations.
One view is that putting a dead child into an urn coffin instead of directly burying it in loess is to give him some space, and the small hole in the lid or bottom of the urn coffin is to hope that he can breathe again and come back to life. When Guo Moruo visited Banpo site, a poem said: "Banpo children's tomb, urn coffin with bones;" There is a round hole on the lid of the urn, which can let air in and out. "This seems to be an artistic expression of similar views. Since people are dead, why do you expect them to "breathe"? Some people speculate that this may be related to the backward diagnostic technology at that time and the phenomenon of children's "suspended animation", so adults have this kind of luck.
Another view is that this is related to people's belief in the soul at that time, and the small holes at the bottom of pots and bowls are used as channels for souls to enter and exit. This burial custom is consistent with the consciousness that children are buried on branches instead of being buried after death in some modern areas. They think that children's souls are fragile and can't get out after being buried underground.

Old Master Q-Four Fates of Children and Parents. Pay off debts, complain, collect debts, pay off debts.
Buddhist scriptures tell us that children and parents have four kinds of fate.
The first kind of fate is gratitude. You were very kind to this child in his previous life. He came to your house all his life to be your son and grandson to repay his kindness. Gratitude must be filial, and you must work very hard to make your family prosperous. This is good!
Therefore, people must be kind, do good deeds and be kind to others. How did the black sheep come from? To complain, there was hatred in the past, and he came to take revenge in this life, just to destroy your home, let it be destroyed, and to complain.
So people can't make enemies with anyone. Why? He will come to your house, be your children and grandchildren, be your children and grandchildren, and take revenge. You can't stop him from coming to your house.
The third is to pay off debts. He used to owe you money, and now he's here to pay it. Such children and grandchildren will have good material supply conditions for their parents, but they have no filial piety and disrespect for their parents.
Will support you, how much? Depends on how much you owe. If he owes you a lot, he will support you materially. If you owe less, you may just get by. All cause and effect!
There is also a debt collector called a debt collector, and you owe him. If you owe less, you will leave when you are a few years old or a teenager. If he owes a lot, support him to graduate from college, just enough to go out to work. At this time, he passed away and passed away. This is what you owe.
The Buddha said that if it were not for these four kinds of fate, it would not be a family. So there is a father-son relationship, a blood relationship, a resentment relationship and a debt relationship. If you understand it, transform him with Buddhism.
Treat him with sincerity, compassion and love, dissolve his hatred, and let him have respect and filial piety. This is something that education can change.
Therefore, in Buddhism, we have a way to turn all the karma of good and evil into karma of Buddhism, which is goodness! This is a bad fate. We end up with a good fate, learn from the teachings of saints, learn from the classics of buddhas and bodhisattvas, and turn all relationships into the best.
