Is there really Angela in the world?

Angela is real in history. She is a Catholic saint. The following is a brief introduction to her life.

Saint Angela Meric, a virgin, is the ancestor of Saint ursula Abbey.

Saint ursula was the first convent to engage in education. Angela Meredith was born in a small village in Brescia, Lombardy, Italy on March 26th, 2 1, 1470. Her parents are very enthusiastic, so Angela received a good religious education from an early age.

Angela's parents died young. She took an elder sister and a younger brother to her uncle's house. Her sister suddenly fell ill and died, and she didn't even have time to accept the last blessing. Angela knows that her sister is usually enthusiastic, but because she has not received the final payment, she is always worried and doubts whether her soul is normal. God made her sister's ghost appear and told her not to worry, because when she died, her soul was not guilty, and Angela was freed. Since then, she has redoubled her enthusiasm, determined to devote herself to the Lord, and soon joined the Third Order of Saint Francis.

Angela is diligent and austere, trying to imitate San Francesco's good deeds. She doesn't want to enjoy any worldly wealth, even a bed. She eats bread, water and some vegetables every day.

Angela's uncle died, and she went back to mourn. At that time, many villagers did not attach importance to their children's family education, so children were often at a loss for even the simplest reasons. Angela was very sad when she saw it. She decided to devote her energy and time to this sacred cause.

Angela told her plan to other female members of the Third Franciscan, and everyone agreed, so she asked Angela to draw up a detailed plan to realize her dream.

Under the leadership of Angela, everyone gathered the poor girls nearby, taught them to read and learn to be rational. This novel education has achieved good results. The residents of Brescia know. Angela was asked to plan to create a school for poor children of the same nature, and she readily accepted.

Angela went to Brescia, presided over the school construction, organized local residents and led them to organize all kinds of good works.

After a while, she and a female companion took a merchant ship to make a pilgrimage to Palestine, and the merchant ship arrived in Crete. Angela suddenly suffered from eye disease and went blind. Her companion wants to cancel the pilgrimage plan, and Angela firmly opposes it. When she arrived in Palestine, she worshiped the holy land very devoutly, and her enthusiasm was never weakened by blindness. After the pilgrimage, she took a boat back to her home in Crete, where she was blind last time. Suddenly, her eyesight came back.

1525 is a holy year. Angela went on a pilgrimage to Rome and was allowed to meet the Pope in person. The Pope asked her to run a monastery in Rome to take care of the patients. Angela felt that the job was not in line with her professional nature and declined it politely.

Angela returned to Brescia. Shortly after the war broke out, she left the city for a period of time and returned to Brescia after the war. At that time, people respected her very much and regarded her as a saint. Once, when she was watching mass in the hall, she was ecstatic and left the ground and stayed in the air.

A few years ago, Angela saw many young girls climb the bright ladder and go to heaven in her illusion. A voice said to her, "You will build a monastery in Brescia in the future, and the nuns will dress like the girls you just saw." Now this prophecy is coming true.

In A.D. 1533, Angela selected several women involved in the education of poor children and gave them informal beginner training. 12 of them live with her in a house similar to a monastery, and the rest live in their own homes as usual.

Two years later1October 25th, 1535, 165438, Angela and 28 women dedicated themselves to the Lord. The new organization she founded was mainly sponsored by Saint ursula, so it is generally called the Company of Ursula/Ursulines in ursula, which is usually regarded as the founding day of Saint ursula. In fact, Saint Angela's organization Saint ursula is just an ordinary charity, and nuns don't wear church clothes (but try to wear black clothes). They don't make sacred vows, but they live together and are not completely isolated from the outside world. They live in their own homes as usual, and only meet in class or hold all kinds of good deeds every day. According to the tasks assigned to them, they are loyal and diligent, and Xiu De does good deeds. In the eyes of ordinary people at that time, it was unthinkable to set up a convent to educate poor children, and it would take some time to put it into practice.

The goal of St. Ursula Church is to give religious education to children, especially poor girls. At the first meeting, Angela was unanimously elected as the chairman. She has been the chairman for five years. 1540 Angela has been ill since June of 1 and passed away peacefully on 27th of the same month. 1544, Pope Paul III officially recognized the Order of Saint ursula, and Angela was honored as a saint in 1807.

"Anyone who receives such a child in my name is receiving me." (Ma 18: 5)
