As far as St. John and St. Francis are concerned, what does "Saint" mean?

In the Bible, holiness means greatness, holiness and separation to God. Catholicism likes to call some people who have made great contributions to Christianity saints, such as St. Paul and St. Peter, to distinguish them from ordinary laymen.

I am a Protestant, but I don't think it's too much to call those who are completely dedicated to the Lord Jesus holy! But we cannot worship them. We can follow their example and follow them!
