Where is Tianchi Lake in Tianshan, Xinjiang?

Tianshan Tianchi Scenic Area is located halfway up the mountain under Bogda Peak in fukang city, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a national scenic spot in China and a national AAAAA scenic spot. Tianshan Tianchi Scenic Area covers a total area of 160 square kilometers, 37 kilometers away from downtown Fukang and 97 kilometers away from Urumqi.

Fukang city, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the north-central part of Xinjiang, at the northern foot of East Tianshan Mountain (Bogda Mountain) and at the southern edge of Junggar Basin. Shimen 1

The elevation of Shimen in Tianchi is1500m, which is 5.9km north of Datianchi. It is a stone canyon cut by the ancient channel of Sangong River. This mountain pass is the natural gateway to the scenic spot. The canyon is about 100 meters long, and the narrowest part is only a dozen meters wide. The vertical rock walls on both sides are several tens of meters high. The situation is grim and dangerous. Looking up, you can catch a glimpse of the sky, surrounded by the Sangong River.

2. Datianchi

Tianchi Haizi, or the main lake and the Great Tianchi Lake, is located in the forest belt of Zhongshan Canyon at the northern foot of Bogda Mountain. The elevation of the lake is 19 10 m, showing a north-south rectangle. The two sides of the lake are covered with green peaks, the central lake is clear and beautiful, and the flowers are fragrant in Zhou Lin. The lake is cold and clear, and there are farmed cold water scaleless fish. The trees around Tianchi Lake are mostly spruce, which grows between 1500~2700 meters above sea level and has a history of 40 million years.
