On one occasion, Emperor Taizong asked Wei Zhi: Why are some people smart and others stupid in history? Wei Zhi said: "It is wise to listen to opinions from all sides; It is foolish to listen to one-sided words. He also cited historical examples, Yao, Shun,,, and said: If the ruler who rules the world can adopt the following opinions, his feelings can be realized, and his cronies can fool as much as they want.

Emperor Taizong nodded again and again and said, "You speak very well! Another day, after reading the collected works, Emperor Taizong said to the ministers around him, "I think he is a man of great knowledge, and he knows how to make good use of Yao and Shun, but he is not good at solving problems. Why is it so ridiculous to do something wrong? ? Wei Zhi said: An emperor cannot rely on his intelligence and knowledge, but he should also listen to the opinions of his officials with an open mind. Wei Zhi?

1, Wei Zhi (February 1 1, 580-643), born in Julu County, Hebei Province, was a politician, thinker, writer and historian in the Tang Dynasty because of his outspoken suggestions.

2. In the seventeenth year of Zhenguan (643), Wei Zhi died of illness. Official to Dr. Guanglu, whose name is Zheng Guogong, and posthumous title is "Wen Zhen". [The funeral is simple. In the same year, he entered Lingyange. ?

3. Wei Zhengling is located in Liquan County, Shaanxi Province. He is the author of Preface to Sui Shu, Liang Shu, Chen Shu and Shu Qi. His remarks are mostly seen in Zhenguan politicians. Among them, the most famous and handed down exhortation list-"Ten Thoughts on Advisement by Emperor Taizong".

Wei Zhi Temple was built in front of Wei Zhi's tomb. There is only one main hall in the temple. There are four stone monuments embedded in the east and west walls outside the worship hall, namely, the reconstruction monument of the Golden God in Gong Wei Temple in Kaifeng, Daming, the reconstruction monument of the Golden God in the 16th year of Shunzhi, and the reconstruction monument of Gong Wei Temple Gate in the 25th year of Kangxi. In front of the temple, there is a five-year-old "Today's Chun Gong Wei Statue and Full Hall Statue Monument", which records the process of rebuilding Wei Zhi Temple. 1985, Wei Zhi Temple was listed as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.
