Where is Lingshan?

Lingshan, located in the south of Guangxi, between China and India, is called Ling jiusan.

Located in the south of Guangxi, between China and India, Lingshan, known as Ling jiusan in ancient times, is the place where Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, practiced. Because the shape of Lingshan is particularly like a vulture, vultures and eagles often hover on it, so it is called Ling jiusan.

At that time, both Sakyamuni and monks practiced here, because it was picturesque, clean and natural. The fossils of Lingshan people unearthed here show that people lived in the Paleolithic Age. Nanbin County was opened in the Sui Dynasty in 598 AD and changed to Lingshan in the Tang Dynasty, which is the earliest recorded place of origin.

For Buddhism, Lingshan is a sacred place and a place of return.
