If you want to become a monk, you must first think about whether you want to be a Quanzhen Taoist or a orthodox school.
Quanzhen Road: Pure heart and lack of desire, living in the temple for a long time.
In the same way: I have a mind of monasticism, but I am similar to people who usually go to work.
Of course, this is just a simple statement. As for the details, there are many and the time is long.
All Tao Zhen became a monk. Generally speaking, the following points are needed:
Before going to the temple, you should prepare three certificates: resident ID card, valid certificate of neighborhood committee and above town (to prove that you are innocent), and consent certificate of family members agreeing to become monks (this is only valid if the authorities above town stamp and sign).
Then you have to go through a period of evaluation and observation to see if your patience and determination are real monks.
Question 2: Becoming a monk? What are the conditions! Where is the easiest place to go? Become a monk and go to an ordinary small temple. Most ordinary small temples are descendants' temples, and they are qualified to accept disciples. Most of the big Taoist temples are ten-square jungles, and those who can't receive apprentices can only accept formal Taoist orders. Wudang Mountain is currently a temple system and a view of the avenue. You can try, but it may not be acceptable to you. You'd better look for the temple of descendants on the spot and consult the local Taoist association. Wish you all the best. Long life is boundless!
Question 3: Where can I become a monk? Louguantai in Shaanxi, Wudang Mountain in Hubei, Qingcheng Mountain in Sichuan.
Question 4: Where should a monk go? If you need any conditions and which temple you want to go to, you should ask the visiting monk first. The conditions in each temple are different. Some only require you to attend classes on time and be self-sufficient, while others also require academic qualifications.
Question 5: How can I become a monk? See if laymen like the whole truth or the whole truth. You can really go to the nearest Taoist association or Taoist temple. You need 18 years old, parents agree, and the three-year master's study tour is also a complete three-year period. During these three years, you will learn to sing with your other disciples. If you don't make mistakes for three years, wear a scarf. In fact, it takes less than three years, usually more than one year. After that, it was almost the same.
First, you can travel to Tianshifu or Xishan Wanshou Palace, and you must have proof of innocence before traveling. Just call the temple you want to go to before going. Traveling costs money, and the cost of traveling is different every year. Tianshifu is wearing a Taoist robe now 1800, regardless of the situation of teachers and students and the pending orders of the temple, just watch the disc. This is the CD of Wanfa Temple. Wanshou Palace 1400, including cassock. Regardless of the relationship between teachers and students and the pending orders of the temple, only discs are distributed. If you choose Jingming, I suggest you handle it online. My friend ran 500, but now 500 can't do it, and 800 is almost the same. No instruments, no cassock. When you get the disc, you are the recording Taoist of the Taoist Association where the transmission is located.
However, the above two monks are not recognized by the state. If they need to be recognized by the state, they must apply for a teaching permit because it is quite difficult. I just want to talk. It takes three years to apply for a teaching position (that is, to live in a temple, because applications for fire residence are not accepted). The Taoist temple where a Taoist lives is applied for by a Taoist association at the next higher level, which will take photos and register it, and then submit it to the Taoist association at the next higher level, which will handle it, and then submit it to the Religious Affairs Bureau for the record. Because of the cumbersome procedures, it takes more than a year. Taoists who live in fire houses can only apply if they are affiliated with a temple, and the Taoist Association is very strict in applying for a teaching certificate without a religious bureau, so I only talk about national registered Taoists in this paragraph.
Besides, what's so hard about a layman becoming a monk? You know, the life of a monk is very boring. He gets up at 4: 30 every morning to prepare for the morning class, and he still needs to pay money. Temples with many disciples are better, and those with few are paid almost every day, and the monthly fee is very small. Besides, do you have the heart to become a monk when your parents are here? I hope the layman will think it over.
Immortal Taoism gives birth to infinite people.

At present, in Chinese mainland, Taoism is divided into two major factions, namely Quanzhen Sect in the north (founded by Wang Zhongyang and developed by Quanzhen Qizi) and Zhengyi Sect in the south (founded by Zhang Ling Shi Tian). Quanzhen Taoist priests need to become monks, just like monks; Those who belong to the orthodox school can get married and have children, practice at home, and don't abstain from meat except during lent.
Question 10: What are the requirements for becoming a monk? Which Taoist temple has more relaxed conditions for accepting disciples? There are two forms to join Taoism: one is to become a formal Taoist, and the other is to become a Taoist layman. There are two ways to become a formal Taoist, one is to become a full-fledged Taoist, and the other is to become an orthodox Taoist. Both of them have to go through the formalities of learning from the teacher, but the former must go to the Taoist temple and become a monk, while the latter does not need to become a monk. To become a Taoist layman, you only need to apply for a conversion certificate at the Taoist temple.

Other matters are decided by your specific palace view of becoming a monk.

If you can stand the test, you also think you can adapt to Taoist life. After the probation period, you can become a monk, keep your hair, wear a headscarf and learn Taoist etiquette and culture.
