What if the leaves of the cash cow turn yellow?

1, too much water

Cash cows like warm and hot weather and are drought-resistant, but they don't like humidity. Too much watering often leads to the rotten roots of cash cows and the yellowing of their leaves. Take the cash cow out of the pot and check if the root system is rotten. If it is rotten, replant it with sterilized culture soil, or bury the base of the cash cow in clean sand, keep it semi-shady and control watering, spray it only on the branches and leaves and around, and then resume regular maintenance after the cash cow grows new roots. If the roots are not rotten, the cash cow should be placed in the shade. Because there are few leaves, it is not easy to dry after watering. To control moisture, spray foliar water frequently, and let the cash cow slowly return to normal growth.

The air is too dry.

Cash cow likes humid environment, and the suitable air humidity is about 85%. Too dry leaves will cause the leaves of cash cows to turn yellow. Put the cash cow on the wet sand table, usually pay attention to spray some water on the leaves to wash away the fine dust attached to the leaves, and pay attention to shade. In winter, we should pay attention to spraying water on the blades and the surrounding environment, so that the relative humidity of the air can reach more than 50%. In addition, special attention should be paid in winter, and the soil in the basin should not be too wet, preferably dry. Otherwise, under the condition of low temperature, the pot soil is too wet, which is more likely to lead to root rot or even the death of the whole plant.

3. Insufficient soil acidity

Insufficient soil acidity can also make the leaves of cash cow yellow. The cultivation substrate of cash cow is mostly peat, coarse sand or washed cinder mixed with a small amount of garden soil, and its pH value is adjusted to 6-6.5, which is slightly acidic. Because of its huge tuber, developed root system and long pinnate compound leaves, cash cow should be potted in deep blue-and-white porcelain pots or purple sand pots, but the lower part should be padded with stones, bricks or bark blocks, and its height is about 1/4 of the depth of the pot, so as to create a good root system environment and facilitate ventilation and filtration.

4. Improper fertilization

Cash cow likes chemical fertilizer, but we must master the degree in the process of fertilization. Too much or too little fertilization will cause the leaves of cash cow to turn yellow. In the growing season, cash crops are irrigated with 0. 1% mixed solution of 0.02% urea and 0. 1% potassium dihydrogen phosphate, 2-3 times a month. After the Mid-Autumn Festival, in order to make cash crops overwinter safely, nitrogen fertilizer should be stopped and 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution should be applied continuously for 2-3 times to promote the hardening and enrichment of young leaf shafts and newly-pumped leaves of cash crops. When the temperature drops below 15℃, all forms of topdressing should be stopped to avoid fertilizer damage and root damage under low temperature.

5. Insect attack

Insect pests are also one of the causes of yellowing of cash cow leaves. In the environment with poor ventilation and poor lighting, the leaves of cash cow are easily bitten and sucked by scale insects. A small number of domestic rearing, the insect body can be pasted with transparent tape, or the live insect body can be wiped off with wet cloth. In productive cultivation, 20% chlorpyrifos wettable powder 1000 times can be sprayed at the peak of nymph hatching, which has good insecticidal effect.
