Gothic aesthetic style runs through ghost mother. From beginning to end, the heroine Caroline lived in a misty, mysterious and strange town. Even her house has an ancient history of more than a century-the old house is almost the basic element of ghost films all over the world. This town can easily be compared with Sleepy Valley in Sleepy Valley. Ghost mother's intrigue against my childhood memories comes from Mr. Popinsky upstairs in Caroline. Mr. B is the only adult who has a sense of identity with Caroline's supernatural experience. The gender setting in ghost mother is also very interesting.
