The Mystery of Water Margin: Shangliang Mountain in Lu Junyi's Works
Doubt 1: Why Lu Junyi?
This leads to Lu Junyi in the book: One day, a monk with a great dharma name was invited, who was a mage of Chenghua Temple in Beijing Daming Mansion; Just for tourists to come to Jinan, pass by the water margin and ask the village to do Dojo. Because of the idle language of eating lent, Song Jiang asked about the local people in Beijing. Monk Dayuan asked, "Why haven't you heard the name of Hebei Jade Kirin?" Hearing this, Song Jiang suddenly saved himself and said, "Look, we are not old, but forgetful! There is a member of Beijing, Lu, a double-named Junyi and posthumous title Jade Kirin; It is the three wonders of Hebei; Beijingers; Good martial arts, sticks are invincible in the world! If you get this person in the water margin, what worries can Xiao Ke have? " Here, it is necessary to explain what happened earlier: a man named Duan stole a good horse and wanted to use it as a bargaining chip in Shangliang Mountain. Of course, this is what he said in front of Song Jiang himself. As for whether he really thought about it, it's not certain now. Anyway, such a thing led to a fan organization called "Zeng Toucheng" (explained in this book), and then he said something insulting to Liangshan. Then Chao Gai sent troops to attack Zengtou City and failed, but he died. As a result, Liangshan faced the second organizational restructuring, and Lu Junyi appeared in the line of sight of Song Jiang at such a time.
Lu Junyi has always been called the "Three Musts of Hebei", but why has it never been mentioned in previous actions? According to the master of Wuzhai, it was Song Jiang who tried to solve it and barely established it. The problem is, with the strength of Liangshan and Sung River at that time, Shi Wengong was caught without other people's help. Besides, if Lu Junyi is a unique skill, then the other two unique skills should also be human. Since it is a talent trap, why not pay attention to the other two? Even the word has never been mentioned again? Since they all say that they are the same, the other two should not be under Lu Junyi in terms of origin and so on. Why not take them all away?
Doubt 2: Why did Lu Junyi fall for it?
The description of Lu Junyi in this passage in the book doesn't feel his writing style at all. Is it just to foil Wu Yong? If so, why should Yan Qing find out? Moreover, no matter how high the strategy is, if Lu Junyi disappears at all, wouldn't it be impossible to sing at all? Why did Lu Junyi believe the nonsense Analects of Confucius from a Jianghu god stick when he was alive? Lu Junyi wouldn't be so stupid that he couldn't even see it, would he? Which one is a little too sorry for the title of "Three Musts"?
Question 3: What does this poem mean?
There are boats on Luhuatan,
Jie Jun swims alone at dusk.
Justice is the end of life,
There is no need to worry about running away.
Ancient China literati played the word game of Tibetan poems badly. Anyway, Lu Junyi is rich, and this kind of entertainment should be constant on weekdays. Why does this childish trick fascinate him? So what message does this poem want to convey to Lu Junyi?
Doubt 4: Why is the asylum candidate Guli?
The description of Gu Li in the book should not be martial arts, but just an accountant or something. In addition, on the issue of taking refuge in the southeast, Coulee said he didn't want to go, but Lu Junyi insisted that Coulee go with him, leaving Yan Qing, a volunteer follower, at home. What's more strange is that Yan Qing works at home for Coulee, while Lu Junyi would rather hire another accountant than take Coulee with him, but the explanation given is far-fetched, which makes us feel that this is not the first time for Coulee, and Coulee knows exactly what to do, so he would rather offend his master than leave. So what are they going to do?
Doubt 5: Why did you choose the route that must pass Liangshan?
It should be said that there is more than one road from Daming Mansion to Tai 'an Mansion, but why did Lu Junyi choose a route that must pass Liangshan? What's more strange is that when I approached Liangshan, I didn't listen to the local bartender and walked by quietly. Instead, Lu Junyi's banner was put on every car. This behavior is really puzzling. Are you really a bold artist? After going to Liangshan, why did he let Guli go home first and stay in the mountains alone? Doesn't he know that this is a den of thieves? Besides, what is he doing in the mountains these days? You're not just stuck, are you? Did Lu Junyi really go straight back to Daming House after going down the mountain?
Doubt 6: Why did Daming House only sentence Lu Junyi not to kill him?
As we know, Lu Junyi was arrested after returning to Daming Mansion. On the one hand, Coulee wanted to take this opportunity to directly kill Lu Junyi in prison; On the other hand, Liangshan, of course, wanted to save Lu Junyi's life, but the final result was given. Of course, he was saved on the road, but later he was arrested. This time, he was preparing to be taught, but he was spoiled by Shi Xiu. Of course, the result was that several people were arrested together. But this time, it was accidentally put on the matter that I just went to prison and never mentioned Buddhism again. Why is this? After Lu Junyi was rescued, the first thing he did was to kill Guli and his wife. What's the secret between him and Coulee?
Doubt 7: Why did Lu Junyi arrest Shi Wengong?
After Liangshan breached Zengtou City, almost all eyes were just staring at one person, that is Shi Wengong, but it happened that Lu Junyi was caught. The ambush succeeded, of course, but why did Lu Junyi's ambush succeed without being directly caught by Song Jiang? Is it just Lu Junyi's luck? How did Lu Junyi choose the ambush site? What is the relationship between Lu Junyi and Shi Wengong?
These are probably some suspicious places I saw around Shangliang Mountain in Lu Junyi. Everyone is familiar with this story. It is a bit simple and far-fetched for Lu Junyi to explain Shangliang Mountain in Lu Junyi only from Song Jiang's solution. As usual, I'll explain why Lu Junyi went to Liangshan again to explain all the doubts I raised above.
To explain these doubts, we need to understand a few questions first. After understanding these problems, we will explain the above doubts. It's a bit far, and some historical background knowledge is needed here.
In ancient China, dynasties practiced a monopoly system for a necessity, namely salt. Only a few inland areas in China can produce salt. In addition to understanding the limited inland salt-producing areas such as rock salt in Zhoushichi and Sichuan well salt made of well salt, the salt supply in other inland areas can only rely on coastal sea salt. It is easy to bring the few salt-producing areas such as Jiezhou Yanchi and Sichuan Jingyan under state control, and it is not difficult to control the short coastline at the same time. Moreover, most of the coastline south of the Yangtze River does not have wide beaches, which is not suitable for salt production. In fact, as long as the coastline from Hebei to Huainan is controlled, it has reached more than half. In this way, when the country controls salt, it can raise prices at will regardless of production costs. Naturally, the imperial court attached great importance to this and implemented the salt industry franchise, which brought huge profits to the imperial finance. But at the same time, it also breeds major social problems such as selling illicit salt. For example, smuggling salt is half cheaper than the price stipulated by the court. If you sell half of the monopoly amount of the imperial court, the salt smuggling organization can get a quarter of the profits of the imperial court monopoly revenue. From the Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty, folk commerce flourished, and businessmen were responsible for the nationwide circulation of goods. Many people got permission from the imperial court to sell salt. In this case, it is normal for both regular businessmen and illegal businessmen to smuggle salt. No one can conclude that businessmen usually have nothing to do with illicit salt. Even ordinary businessmen, once in trouble, will become black market businessmen and start to get their hands on the monopoly commodity of the court-salt. The huge benefits obtained from this gave birth to a fixed black market merchant organization, which is almost a thief's merchant. Of course, the court will severely ban these organizations, leading them to secretly form associations for self-protection. The period when the Water Margin played its greatest role in the history of China was from the late Tang Dynasty at the end of the 9th century to the Song Dynasty in the12nd century. Coincidentally, Huang Chao 9, which almost overthrew the rule of the Tang Dynasty, happened near Liangshanpo. The main reason for this situation is that the black market traders smuggling salt along the Bohai Bay were expanding from Liangshanpo to the Yellow River estuary, thus becoming a semi-free smuggling area that the government could not control, and Liangshanpo was an area where the two forces of the government and smugglers constantly clashed. The distribution area of thieves' gathering place described in Water Margin is almost the same as the distribution of anti-government armed forces (that is, black market salt merchants) in the late Tang Dynasty.
With the above historical background knowledge, let's reconsider the doubts about Lu Junyi. I will retell the story in the way of a moustached detective.
Let's review the scene of choosing Lu Junyi. A monk named Dayuan gave a French lecture to Classical on his way from Daming Mansion to Jinan. Later, Lu Junyi was mentioned in the chat. Let's not talk about Dayuan's doubts here, just look at Song Jiang's performance after hearing Lu Junyi:
Hearing this, Song Jiang suddenly saved himself and said, "Look, we are not old, but forgetful! There is a member of Beijing, Lu, a double-named Junyi and posthumous title Jade Kirin; It is the three wonders of Hebei; Beijingers; Good martial arts, sticks are invincible in the world! If you get this person in the water margin, what worries can Xiao Ke have? "
First I saved it all at once, and then I talked about Lu Junyi's life background. Finally, the sentence I said was meaningful: "What's on your mind when you get this person in the water margin?" At that time, the biggest trouble on the water margin was basically these; A, classical died, leaving a will that whoever caught Shi Wengong was the boss of Liangshan, that is to say, Song Jiang's boss status was not recognized by everyone; Second, the expansion of Liangshan army is too great, and it is basically impossible to maintain the normal operation of the organization simply by robbery (this problem should be highlighted in the later period of Classical, but Classical didn't expect a good solution at the moment); Both are life and death events in Liangshan, and neither can be taken lightly. In Liangshan, the admission of Lu Junyi has been put on the agenda, which is an urgent problem to be solved. I remember reading a book about Water Margin before. It was mentioned that Lu Junyi went up the mountain to let him catch Shi Wengong and solve the problem for Song Jiang. But if Song Jiang doesn't want to be the boss of the water margin, it may be possible, but the problem is that Song Jiang doesn't even want to give up the position of the boss. If it is only to solve the first problem, wouldn't it be asking for trouble? There is no guarantee that Lu Junyi will catch Shi Wengong. Then the second problem still exists, to solve the financial crisis facing Liangshan.
Lu Junyi is the richest man in Daming Mansion. Ask him to come up the mountain and bring a lot of belongings. It can't be said that it can be solved, at least it can be alleviated. But if Lu Junyi's property is fixed assets (such as land, which can refer to Jia's house in A Dream of Red Mansions, relying on collecting land rent), it doesn't mean nothing. Of course, the government will not protect the title deeds of wanted criminals, and it is likely to be directly confiscated as state-owned assets. This is still useless for Liangshan. Then Lu Junyi can only do business, which is the so-called circulation field. From beginning to end, there is no mention of what business Lu Junyi does.
Let's look back on modern society. What do gangsters (such as Hong Kong and Red Star) do now? This can probably be divided into two categories: one is legitimate business, that is, the so-called legitimate business that hides people's eyes and ears, and usually does not make much money; The other is illegal, such as arms, drugs, counterfeit money, smuggling and so on. These are the real sources of wealth. If we consider the above illegal business in the Northern Song Dynasty, arms are nothing more than iron cold weapons, which can be handled by ordinary blacksmiths, and there is no huge market at all. It was estimated that there were no drugs at that time, so it was impossible. As for counterfeit banknotes, China has always been a currency circulation system dominated by copper in ancient times, so counterfeit banknotes are unrealistic. That leaves smuggling. Considering the geographical location of the water margin, the business that Song Jiang wants to do most and is the easiest to do is naturally smuggling salt. For water margin, this is a profitable business. They have almost all the conditions needed for smuggling, except for a knowledgeable guy who takes them into such an industry. Those bosses in Liangshan have probably been engaged in this industry before, such as Liu Tang's generation, but all they can do is to pull carts and so on.
From this, I boldly speculate that Lu Junyi's business activities can basically be identified as smuggling smuggled salt. Knowing the hidden rules of this industry, it is likely to control a large smuggled salt market.
So sung river like learned the news? This reminds me of Duan, a horse dealer who sells and steals horses in the north. He accidentally got a batch of good horses and wanted to give Song Jiang such a gift as a bargaining chip for himself to join the water margin. But is it as simple as just a good horse? Let's look at Duan's words again: "The villain's surname is Duan, and he lives in a double surname. When people see a villain with a red and yellow beard, they call him' Golden retriever'. Zuguan is from Zhuozhou. Stealing horses from the north all my life. I went to the north of Qiangtangling this spring and stole a good horse. Snow training is as white as the price, and there is no hair on my body. Head to tail, ten feet long, hoof to spine, eight feet high. That horse can walk thousands of miles a day and is famous in the north. It is called the jade lion that glows at night. It was rode by Prince Daikin, and it was stolen by a villain at the foot of Gungan Ridge. Rivers and lakes only smell the name of timely rain, but they don't see the sun. If I want to dedicate this horse to the leader, it is my right to show my intention. Unexpectedly, I came to Zengtou City, southwest of Lingzhou, and was taken away by the' Zengjia Five Tigers'. The villain said that the water margin was Song Gongming, but he didn't want that guy to be abusive, so the villain dared not say everything. I have to run away. I'm here to inform you. "
In this paragraph, it is first explained that this horse is the mount of Prince Daikin, and then it is explained that the place where he got this horse is called Qiangganling. Later, it was said that the horse was supposed to be given to Song Jiang, but it was taken away by Zengtou City. So Duan only brought a good horse? I think it's much more than that. He also brought the news of the private salt market in the north and the contact information of those salt merchants who control this market. In other words, whoever masters this will master the whole northern illicit salt market. Of course, this should be something like a roster, probably obtained from Prince Daikin. On the way, I probably flipped through the column and remembered that it had Lu Junyi's name and contact information (even Shi Wengong's). Classical, eager to solve Liangshan's financial problems, rushed to send troops to attack Zengtou City. The latter thing is the same as explained in the tree. It was not until the death of Classical that Lu Junyi was mentioned by the Great Circle monk again that Song Jiangcai suddenly realized this matter. If you can't get the roster back, let Lu Junyi go up the mountain first, but such a figure is hard to get close to, let alone invite him up the mountain. So there was Wu's ridiculous invitation to go down the mountain to tell fortune. As for the fortune teller and what he said, in fact, they are all contact code words, just like the sentence "The heavenly king covers the earth with tigers ..." In "Lin Yuan", it is nothing more than telling Lu Junyi that there is a channel middleman looking for him. Otherwise, even if Wu Yong shouted his throat, Lu Junyi would directly ignore him, and Wu Yong could not sing. The following conversation between Lu Junyi and Wu Yong is actually a term that only people in the industry can understand. It probably explains their position in the organization and tests each other whether they are really people in the organization. Why do you say that? It is because of Lu Junyi's horoscope that Xiaofeng knows a little. According to Lu Junyi, "Jiazi Year, Ugly Moon, Bingyin Day and Dingmao Time" does not exist at all. Be careful of the ship in ten thousand. After the eight characters are finished, the following sentence may not be what Wu Yong said. A cautious Lu Junyi's nerves tensed immediately, and he began to wonder if Wu Yong really belonged to the smuggling industry. So when Wu Yong talked about property, Lu Junyi immediately said something like this: "Sir, it's not enough. Lu Sheng was born and raised in Beijing. No illegal father, no remarried relatives; Be more careful with loyalty, don't make trouble unreasonably, and don't take money: how can there be a catastrophe? " Wu Yong also felt that he might have betrayed himself and wanted to leave quickly, but he was a little unwilling. After all, the big talk has been released, so he wrote the poem that seems to hide his head on the wall: There is a boat on the Luhuatan, and Jie Jun swims alone in the dusk. Without hesitation, life is at stake, and there is no need to worry about going back to the bow and fleeing. If Lu Junyi is convicted of such a poem, I don't think even a stupid official would do it. First, the poem was not written by Lu Junyi, and this comparative note is enough; Second, Lu Junyi was obviously planted. Therefore, with such a poem, it is impossible for Lu Junyi to climb the mountain. So how to understand this poem? Of course, it is necessary to cooperate with Wu Yong's sentence: "Only a thousand miles to the southeast can avoid this great disaster." What is the place thousands of miles southeast of Daming House? It is almost a private salt-making base along the Bohai Bay. Then we can understand that there is something wrong with the illegal salt production base in Lu Junyi. That's what I want to tell you. Is it up to you to go or not? Say that finish and hurried away.
Lu Junyi, of course, was in a hurry after receiving such news. As a result, he cut off his income. Although he said that most of the money has been washed and put into other projects, if there is no smuggled income, it is estimated that there will be problems in capital turnover. Many projects that have already started are only suspended, including bank loans. So you're not waiting to declare me bankrupt in Lu Junyi? Of course not. But why take Coulee instead of Yan Qing? Coulee was very unhappy. This shows that as the chief financial officer, Coulee knows such a thing, while as the public relations manager, Yan Qing is not very clear about this invisible income. Therefore, such a thing is naturally to make an issue of Coulee. Yanqing asked to go, but Lu Junyi refused. The explanation for Yan Qing is: "I don't save money on business trips, but I want to bring Coulee;" If he needs to save money, he will do his best for me; So I put you in charge. Others will take care of the accounts and only teach you to be the owner of the pile. "
As for why he passed the water margin on the route selection, I think he should be looking for Lin Chong. Of course, if he goes this way, he will probably pass by Zengcheng and see Shi Wengong. Because it is said that these three people are all apprentices of Zhou Dong (including Yue Fei and others in the later period). Estimation is to confirm whether the news he heard from Wu Yong is accurate, and it is estimated that his relationship with Shi Wengong is very unpleasant. At the end of Liangshan, he heard something about Shi Wengong's evil deeds from Lin Chongkou (this can also explain why Wang Lun was so hard on Lin Chong, but Lin Chong still submitted to humiliation and worked under him, which will be explained in detail when writing Lin Chong later), which made Lu Junyi feel it necessary to kill Shi Wengong. As for the reason why I went to Liangshan, I listened to the bartender and hung the banner of Lu Junyi, actually for the sake of smuggling organizations. This happens to be used by Liangshan. During the dozens of days in Liangshan, Song and others estimated that they had told Lu Junyi the relevant information and coerced Lu Junyi to join the partnership on charges of smuggling salt. Of course, the roster is not in their hands after all, and Song Jiang is also a wanted man. At best, it's an anonymous letter or something This estimate Lu Junyi is prepared. Of course, there is a condition for Lu Junyi to stay, and that is to let Coulee go first. The purpose is simple, that is, to do the right thing. Wu was smart enough to say this on the golden beach. In fact, Guli boy uses them more clearly than he does, and his heart is like a mirror. But Coulee also began to play his tricks. That is, if Lu Junyi really becomes an outlaw, he can take Lu Junyi's place in Daming Mansion.
In fact, there are many reasons why Lu Junyi went to prison. First, Coulee wants to replace Lu Junyi; Second, Shi Wengong also wants to strike first; Third, Liangshan estimated that he also wrote anonymous letters, but Liangshan estimated that he didn't really want to kill Lu Junyi. So after three transgressions of five times, Liangshan felt wanting more and spared no effort to get Lu Junyi out of prison. With the news of Liangshan and Yan Qing, Coulee is naturally dead, and the death of Coulee is actually the result of overreaching. Come down to find Shi Wengong, Lu Junyi is revenge, but need to use the power of Liangshan, and sung river is to make a fortune, actually sung river think very clearly. Everyone is in the Jianghu. Now even if I give you the position of the boss to Lu Junyi, you Lu Junyi don't have the guts to do it. Moreover, Sung River was confident that he could catch Shi Wengong when he was playing in Toucheng, but he didn't expect this Shi Wengong to be so courageous and finally ran away. And Lu Junyi has already made an ambush, waiting for you. Why isn't ............................................................................................................................................................... Lu Junyi the boss behind the scenes? Therefore, his old man's house clearly understands the political situation in Liangshan. And Lu Junyi also wants to use Liangshan to get rid of the control of smuggling organizations, which is one of the reasons why he would rather die than be an official!
